Physical Disability Board of Review Update

This all seems to be going in a positive direction I am going to call tommorow at lunch.
I am happy for all of us that we are inching toward our individual justice that we dserve.
Honestly I do not care about the back pay as much as I just want the retirement.
2 reasons 1 just to have the acknowledgement that I was wronged and it was corrected. Vindication I believe is the word.
2. the benefits for my daughter. I have a question as far as that goes. she was born after I was shafted out of the Army. will she still get my tricare?
anyways I hope all of you get retired you all deserve it.
Take care have a good wek to all.
John

Thanks bro, keep us updated, good luck to you too!

Help!!! I have been at the board for 3 months. I was separated for MH at 10% with the VA giving the unfitting condition initially a 30% then a current 50% with a total rating of 80%. How can I find out what the heck is going on since Randolph doesnt know.

Thanks.

Hi,

Randolph didn't tell you because your file is missing or told you it was still there awaiting to go to the Adjudication Unit? If you are just waiting and they received your request and everything is complete on your end, then you are going to have to wait like all of us, sorry to say.

Just called and was told quite a few have been sent to the board already. Mine was sent to the board, but I was told the Army hasn't sent my (STR) or Army records yet. So I quess the board will hold it till the Army sends there stuff.

I called them yesterday and now there telling me that the VA hasn't sent my records yet but they have all my Army Records. In fact, their telling me that they have requested my records from the VA every month since April and they haven heard anything yet.

Thats grimey! You need to start talking to your congressman or a vet organization rep like the American Legion to light a fire under the VA's ass.

I called today and was told by a gentleman named Josh that tall of my records have been reviewed by the doctors. He said although mine was not complete (in regards to decision) others were completed. He said that we would get letters the same time as sthe intake unit as to what the final decision is. I assume he was alluding to me not calling anymore. Oh well speak to you next week Josh. Some of you with lower numbers. I think I'm 192 ( i will dbl check the forum posts and my records.) You guys should call and find out the status. Just to pass on whats already being said.

I also called today and the board had made numerous requests through the VA for medical records and the VA in spectacular fashion has failed every time. I should have been on top of this months ago.

I called the VA and they said I can't contact the release of records personaly over the phone, so the operator sent a message (email) to them. Is there anyway to track this? Or would I need to go there in person and pick them up?

I would go there in person if I were you and get a copy of the request or fill one out and certify mail it to them.

I use to work for the VA. I recommend you go there in person and get your records. They are very busy in the records department and it may take some time to mail it out. Go get it yourself, that is what i would do.

I was med boarded August 2006 for a labral tear in my hip, PTSD, major depression and generalized axiety disorder. I was rated at 10%. The VA has granted me 70%. I applied to the PDBR like January 6 or close to that date. I haved received two letters. I called for the first time today, the individual stated that my file was at the PDBR Board. He also said that I would probably here something from them before he would. Got my fingures crossed. Has anyone received a decision yet?

Hey GunTruck,

I feel ya there, I was med boarded September 2005 where I literally snapped my backbone, Degen Disk Disease, Spinal Stenosis, Spondylolthesis, OsteoArthritis, on top of PTSD and Stomach Issues. They only gave me 10% for "muscle spasms." then within the year after seperation got 40% for Degen Disk, 80% for PTSD, and 10% for Stomach from the VA. So im at 100% due to Unemployability. I had recieved only one letter on 22 Jan 09 that it was going to Adjudication. Then I found out Monday over the phone that I was pending final approval from the board. Im docket #19, so you are probably before me or around me. It will all happen and good things are to come. Thanks for your service to this country and God Bless.

Hey Seminole,

I see your located in SC, I'll be moving around there within the next several months, how is the VA Service around there? Im looking at Myrtle Beach or alittle north, maybe Wilmington, NC. I know Columbia is the Regional, so just wondering how things are down there? Thanks!

Big Will

The Regional Office in Columbia just moved to be co-located with the Dorn VA Medical Center. I took a position with DOD and moved to Atlanta in May. Dorn is the best VA Medical Center I have ever been in. They bend over backwards for veterans. They will take real good care of you there. :D

I kept my records there and will drive from Atlanta to Columbia to see my doctor when i have an appointment.

dumb question how do you tell the docket number. it starts with pd0900 is the last 3 the docket number. sorry i am a dumb grunt I suppose

i am a bit confuse here, i thought docket numbers issued by the dod-pdbr was suppose to be listed in order, i read here on this site, thay some veterans are getting this news from the pdbr in texas while others are hearing that. my other concern is that if the v.a is holding up some medical records as the pdbr claim, which when contacted the v a reginal office denies recieving any request from the pdbr, yet at the same time one member on this site , was told by the pdbr that their case is at the af/bcmr, others was told that their case is at this board, or that board, but at the same time , NO ONE HAS RECIEVE A ENDING RESULT AS YET FROM THE PDBR, STRANGE. my docket number is between 01 and 12, but yet other case with docket number ranging from 19 on up is hearing news from the pdbr. i think the pbdr is pulling everyone's string and is dangling all of us like PUPPETS, why is that?first the va is not sending out medical records, then va is sending out some medical records, then the pdbr docket number order is all over the place, and what concern me the most is the weekly different story one hear when ever one call the pdbr in texas to inquire about their case.SOMEone is lying, and i think the CULPIT in this case is the PDBR IN TEXAS, seven months later. and the va is still not coperating with the pdbr in sending medical records that was requested. at the same time the va case workers are saying NO REQUEST WAS MADE FROM PDBR, the pdbr is under the same wing as the medical board, which discharge most of us(combat veterans with war injuries)with percentage ranging from 0 to 20%.its time we the veteran light a fire under the pdbr folks butt in texas, because we are been told lies to shut up up and to keep us guessiing, i for one as a disable iraqi veteran will be contacting my local media, and state senator to contact the pdbr in texas. i WILL NOT ALLOW FOR THE SECOND TIME THE DOD, TO PULL A FAST ONE ON ME AGAIN, LIKE THEY DID BEFORE, WHEN THEY DISCHARGE ME WITHA PURPLE HEART AND 20%,FOR WAR TIME INJURIES, WHILE TELLING ME, TO TAKE A HIKE.
