My case at the VA was switched to Pending Decision Approval on 10 Nov. How long after your case switched to this did you receive your results?

Depends on the complexity of your claim and the number of claims you have. I have been at Pending Decision Approval since 17 Oct 14. I had 2 unfitting conditions and 10 claim in total. I have heard of them being completed in a couple weeks to a few months. Providence's average for rating results is 86.6; which is pretty fast compared to others.

Any updates for any of you yet? I've been in "pending decision approval" for about 5 weeks now. :/

I was pending decision approval on 17 Oct 14 and my e-Benefits went back to Preparation for decision on 17 Nov 14. In talking with my PEBLO and MSC, my packet has been at the IPEB and Providence for ratings since 24 Oct 14. So, I am just in a holding pattern waiting....

Me too. The VA rep on the phone said the VA was done with my package in October and sent it out on October 15! He told me their ratings even. So I assume (?) I'm waiting for the peb results now. Who knows.

Good deal! Glad to see your package is moving along. You should get to see your results soon.

what number did you call?

You should be able to contact you MSC (Veteran Service Rep) at your Regional VA.

I contacted my Regional VA and got the number from them for my MSC. What Regional VA are you going through?

The number to the VA to inquire about your claim status is
1800-827-1000
It is almost impossible to reach anyone, so I call afterhours (after 9pm I think?) and schedule a call back for the next morning. If you do that, call the number, then hit 1, 2, 3, 1, 0 (in that order) to get through the recordings quickly, after that, just listen for directions. :) If you get a rep who won't tell you the ratings (they're not supposed to) try again! eventually, you'll get a nice one who is willing to break a rule :)

As far as the MSC, I have only seen mine one time, in the beginning. Since then, I have tried to contact her to no avail. So I guess I'm just at a waiting stand still.

Fielding87,
Your Regional VA is the one you went to for your C&P Exams. That is where the MSC can be contacted. My Regional is Fargo VA.

Unknown,
I only talked to mine on the phone. The closest Regional VA is 4hrs away from me. I have had much luck with the 1-800 number. Like you said, it is best to call after hours and schedule a call back. I call around 0700 on my way into work.

You are right, I called and eventually got thru to someone and they were not nice at all! Although good news anyways, I was informed that my ratings and everything came back from the VA and the informal board with a rating of 70% for PTSD stemming from MST from both sides with TDRL follow up within 6 months. Does anyone know how long the process takes after this?

I also experienced some of the rudeness/shortness when calling the VA. On a good note, I am glad to hear your initial rating are done. It can take from a week up to six weeks from what I have read and seen from the IPEB.
