PEB Is depressing

Good Afternoon,

I am in the USMC and I am currently deep into the PEB stage. I started the MEB board in late March and the paperwork was sent off during the first week of June. Apparently, the VA gave a proposed rating already to my PEBLO back in early august but he never called me. So, I am still waiting on that. I called and emailed my PEBLO dozens of times over the few weeks and never was able to contact him. On the Ebenefits site, it shows my status to be Pending Decision Approval for the IDES itself and its been like this for over a month.

My medical separation (DOD side) is for Dyspnea (Unspecified) and Adjustment Disorder (unspecified). My Trouble breathing and adjustment disorder combined is a mystery cause and began multiple problems, such as weakness, extreme chronic fatigue, memory lost, constant headaches, Anxiety, Depression, extreme heart palpitations with chest pain, ETC. The "symptoms" are all claimed on VA side.

On the VA side, Not only did I claim the symptoms of the main diagnosis, I claimed things based off questions my VA asked me and he wrote down things. Such as bi lateral Shoulder pain, Ears ringing, Previously fractured hand that causes hand popping and stiffness and thumb pain, feet pain.

I have no idea what to expect when it comes to possible ratings. I know I have to be found unfit because I would of been told back in July that I was fit if I was.

Any ideas what I may expect when it comes to timeline this process may end and any ideas what you think may be the ratings? I am expecting a total of 40 VA and 10 DOD just so I don't get my hopes up.

If you are looking at dypsnea and chronic adjustment disorder as unfitting, you should expect at least 50% TDRL to start off with.

Do you have a copy of your C&P exams? It could shed some ligght into what your ratings may be.
 
What is the C&P exams again?
 
I just got my Results. 70% DoD. 90% VA. TDRL
 
That sounds better than what you predicted - way better.

when did you proposed ratings come in in august? And how long is the reexamination scheduled for. They told me 6 months for my depressions after my last day on active duty. Im still waiting on official ratings though.
 
I never got my proposed rating but I waited almost two months for the DOD to finish their end after the VA proposed rating was "sent". I also found out that I am not on Temporary retirement, they put me straight to Permanent Retirement.
 
I was told that it takes 2 - 3 weeks for a new EAS after getting the findings. My questions are: Is that the average or the guaranteed? Also, when your EAS does change, how do you normally find out, by phone call from S-1/IPAC/PEBLO or you have to stare at your MOL (USMC)?

I don't know the answer looks like I'm a few weeks behind you. Just like the stare at MOL thing. Been in 14 years SSgt and over my career I have done the reload MOL thing for promotions and so many things.
 
Should change my thread name ot "MOL is Depressing" now that I am only waiting on that atm....

You are right too Ssgt. You not too far behind me. Hopefully you get your results before thanksgiving.
 
Dsypnea could have a multitude of causes. Anxiety is normally the first one chosen by doctors as it was for me, but mine turned out to be more serious effect of myasthenia Gravis a neuromuscular disease. The MEB is always a depressing situation. Nobody wants to have thier career terminated prematurely. Hang in there knowing this is the last fight of your career and that there is life after the military.
 
My Dyspnea still don't have a discovered source. Hoping the civilian side will help find the cause.

You just have to check MOL on the BIR daily. Nobody will track you down, call you, and leadership isn't tracking it either.

Also look at the BIR "Retirement Information" and chrological record should both reflect transfer to PDRL or TDRL.

I started mine in February and still haven't heard much back. Minus my claim went historical 10/05/16
