PEB DECISION

Hi quick question, is anyone waiting on PEB for their decision? VA made a decision on my case on 5 April and I’m still yet to hear anything from PEB, my peblo said there’s nothing yet. Is anyone dealing with the same thing?

Hi, I believe I’m in the same situation as you. The VA completed their preliminary rating and mailed a decision letter on April 5 for me. I think the VA decision for you is also preliminary since the PEB hasn’t made their decision yet and everything is subject to change. I’m still waiting to hear from the PEB. I’ve heard through the grapevine that the PEB isn’t issuing unfit memos, so basically once they make their decision it goes to the VA for input on the ratings and then goes back to the PEB for generation of a DA 199 (assuming you’re army). This can take 2-3 months. I’m on month 2 since sending my file to the PEB.

Waiting is standard in the PEB process. It is frustrating, but beyond your control.

I am right behind you in the que Gully, VA Sent my stuff out on the 6th. PEBLO Swears she doesnt have my "proposed" ratings even though MSC says that was sent to her. MSC says they cant disclose anything directly to me on this........ So I wait

Did they actually mail you anything? Mine says they closed the case in FEB and mailed a packet, but I didn't get anything. I made an inquiry with the Va on the E Benefits site and they basically told me that I need to wait for my PEBLO to get the 199 and everything.

You will NOT get anything directly from the FEB, everything should be going through your PEBLO until you're out and your claim has been finalized. Now, you can call the VA and have them email it to you, but that's not the standard.

Getting proposed ratings from the VA requires the "right person" to answer the phone. Most will say that your PEBLO has to give them to you because that is who they are mailed to. To see if you have proposed ratings, check eBenefits/ VA.gov and check if you have a closed claimed. If so, you can ask the VA on the phone about the ratings, but again, it depends who ends up answering the phone. For me, it took about 8 different tries with different people.

Yeah they wouldn't give me anything. Luckily I got my 199 back yesterday though.

Same here my case closed today i called the VA and they let me know my peblo would let me know... i wonder if there is a chance i can still be found fit
