Since being placed on the PDRL per the PDBR recommendations, i received retirement orders with accounting data and all that stuff. Am I am entitled to a paid PCS move to my retirement destination? I never really thought about it until now and am curious.

Most likely, yes. I think the answer turns on what type of orders you were on (if any) at the time of your retirement. It is possible to tell by looking at the orders, but you may just want to call the transition/retirement point and see what they say. It may be that they omitted the entitlement, so you may have to ask for this to be added to your orders.

Thanks for the information, Jason. I wasn't on any orders. I was discharged with severance pay in 2003. I did get a set of retirement orders but the transportation officer can't seem to decipher them, he is asking others for help. I never received any PCS when i was discharged, i just got severance pay and that was it. Hopefully i can get them to PCS me to my retirement home of selection!
:D

Sorry about the Spurs, they faded at the end, my Hawks look ok but will probably get beat tomorrow by the Bulls. I am glad the Lakers got swept!!!!!

I was awarded PCS move to my retirement home of selection and travel entitlements for my dependents and myself.

Thank You!!!

Did you also receive dislocation Allowance?

Unfortunately, you do not receive dislocation allowance on your final PCS.

Reference for this is Title 37 USC, Chapter 7, § 407

(e) First or Last Duty.— A member is not entitled to payment of a dislocation allowance under this section when the member is ordered from the member’s home to the member’s first duty station (except as provided in subsection (a)(2)(F)) or from the member’s last duty station to the member’s home.

The orders for a PCS after a retirement are good for a year. HOWEVER, it can be extended, one year at a time!
