PDBR or BCMR?

Not sure what direction to go. Was dicharged from the Army in Nov 02 with a unfit rating of 10% (back only). Imediantly after seperation, VA rated my back to 20%, ankle for 10%, and mental health for 10% (this is now at 30%). I also was just awarded 50% for apnea (now at 80% combined rating). Received a letter stating I was eligible to apply to the PDBR.

Since I was never rated by the Army/PEB for the other conditions, do I need to apply to the BCMR for corrections or just the PDBR?
 
I would go to the PDRL first and use the BCMR as a last resort.
 
Hard to say for sure. My inclination would be BCMR since you have multiple conditions, but a big question is whether the PEB even considered/identified the other conditions. If they considered them, then the PDBR would also consider them.

Note that you can't go to the BCMR after PDBR for same conditions.

I would go to board of military corrections because the VA never rated your back at 30% within 12 months of separation. But it is your choice but if I were in your shoes that is the course of action I would take. Good luck.

Evening... Currently in the same boat as you are. After extensive reading and talking to a very reliable source your best course of action would be to FIRST request your MEB/PEB records to see exactly what is in that file. Apparently the PDBR will not consider any conditions that are not in your file. So, come to find out if your conditions are not even mentioned in there pretty for sure thing that you will be denied at the PDBR level. This in turn will waive your right's to file BCMR.
If your considering legal representation I would still request those records first to get an idea what you are up against and whether to go with the PDBR or BCMR.
 
So, the PDBR will only consider the ratings given with in 12 months from sepration?
