PDBR - heard nothing since May 2018

Submitted my PDBR in March 2018 and received notification that they had opened a case for me in May 2018. I've heard nothing since and am not getting any responses to request for the status of my case. Is there anything else that I can do to find out my status?

I would do a forum search for PDBR contact information. I have seen e-mail addresses and phone numbers over the last couple of months pop up with people that had contact with PDBR people. Granted... I think it was service specifics, but it should start the ball rolling for you.

PDBR usually takes 2+ years. I would suspect you will not hear anything more for 8+ months.

Have you emailed them requesting the status of your case? Below is the email address.

They usually respond in a couple of days. Do you know your Docket number? If so include it in the subject line. My docket number is PD-2017-0XXXX if you are unsure of the format. If you don't know your docket number, request it in your email. As for timeline I will post a general flow path from another thread. I hope this helps.

Welcome to the Forum. The PDBR can be broken into phases. Phase one, is submittal and processing in your request assigning it a docket number. This is a couple of months if memory serves. Phase two, they will collect relevant military and VA records. This can take months to more than a year, as mine did. Phase three, all relevant records and your request move to adjudication, ie they review and make a recommendation. This seemingly is two months or so. Then Phase four, where the PDBR (run by the Air Force) sends their recommendation to Your branch of service. Once your branch has it the Secretary or Designee will review recommendation and approve or decide against it. This phase seems like a couple of months. Once signed, they mail you a packet with the PDBR recommendation and Secretary decision. Then, Lord willing, phase five is you are approved for permanent retirement and orders, ID cards etc to follow that can take several months. So in short from submittal to letter from secretary with a decision can take 2-3 years. If retired, add several months to that. There are several service specific timeline threads on here that offer insight to how long people's cases lasted. You can email the PDBR, once every few months to check the status of your case. Best of luck! This is not concrete, and I apologize if I have misspoken in any way.

I've emailed that address with my docket number a few times with no response.

Thank you,
Sandra

Thank you! I've found some more email address I didn't have before and emailed them. Keeping fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear it. Have you checked your spam folder? I know when I emailed them from my work email, at first I didn't get the replys because they were blocked by our IT stuff. May be a stretch, but thought I'd mention it.

Hopefully you hear soon. I know there was a phone number recently posted in the PDBR Phone Call thread. I never called it, but it may worth trying as well. Best of luck!

I received a call today. It was coming from Joint Base Andrews. The PDBR informed me that my case has been sent to the Navy. 240-612-4858 was the number. Started process March 2017; sent for adjudication April 3, 2019, Adjudicated and sent to the Navy June 15, 2019. Any one have contact info for the Navy?

Here is the phone number.

Nothing in my spam folder. I tried calling a different number I saw posted recently. A really nice woman answered the phone, but she could only help with Navy and Marines.

Army here. :)

I'll give the new number a try on Monday. Maybe they'll have info for Army. Thank you!

I found Mr. Al for the Army, his contact info in another thread. it is quoted below.

So I got good news yesterday, I called Al from Army HRC 1-877-577-3065 and he had my file on his desk. He needed a copy of my original orders, and the member-4 copy of my DD-214... because he was processing my 30% retirement... I am trying to hold the celebrations until I have it in writing, but I am encouraged. Funny thing is he stated that they have 120 days to respond, and that they were getting it done early... I assume he is correct, but I thought it was 45 days to decide, plus 10 days to notify...
