PDBR Decision

I saw a statistic today that the PDBR Board is currently granting 17% of the cases to retirement.

When I got out, they gave me 10%. I am hoping they at least give me another 10%, totaling 20%. I know 20% isn't retirement, correct?

Does anyone know what the statistic is for them raising people to a % under the retirement mark? How many cases are they turning away without any change?

Thank You all.

You are correct 20 is not retirement. Thirty percent or more is retirement. Unfortunately I can't give you a stat on the percent of cases where there is a change. Best wishes. Mike

ChefSal-- so if my 10% gets increased to 20%, I won't see any additional pay? Not even the additional severance pay that I would have gotten if I would have originally been rated at 20%.

Thanks!!

I know it's really weird because then you wonder what the heck the difference is between 10 and 20 right? I'm almost positive it has nothing to do with your % rating. Take a look at the screenshot I've attached.

I think your only option may be is to file another VA claim to see if they will raise your VA disability to 20%.

I actually already have 50% with VA. I was at 20% with VA when I got out and I submitted a claim to have them raise it 5 years ago.

If you get raised to 20% DOD, then I would suspect you wont get anything because your VA was already at the same percentage when you got out.
