This new one just popped up and is dated back to the day after I received a medical discharge. Still no rating in ebenefits though, and letter generator still shows no service connected disability. No clue whats goin on. Any experience with this? Thanks for ur help.

Every single IDES proposed claim is closed on the day of your medical discharge. A new claim is opened to finalize your ratings the day after you are discharged. The purpose for this is that you cannot be rated by the VA while you are entitled to active duty pay.

Thank you for the explanation...i guess then that theyll only back date my va payments to when i was discharged then? I thought it might reach all the way back to when the claim was filed.
