Odds of being found fit?

Whoever is saying that, they are ignorant. So long as your conditions are in the line of duty and unfitting, you are due compensation.

Based on what you wrote, should be unfitting and rated at a minimum of 50% with placement on the TDRL.

Hard to say for sure, but likely, 10-20% rating if unfitting.

This is a harder issue, because the VA did not find a diagnosis. Highly complicated issue based on the facts of your case. I suspect you should be rated 10-20% based on this. However, you may well have to appeal/fight this issue out.

Thanks Jason. The shin splints isn't that big of a deal. That was added right before my NARSUM. My MEB doc said she felt she should add it. I let her do what she had to do. I talked to my PEBLO she said it would be another month or 2 before I would see a unfit memo!

It is best for members to start there own threads on their individual questions....I see several people posting questions on their own situation, which makes it hard to keep the issues and questions straight. I have not moderated/moved posts, but I would recommend those with specific questions start their own threads.
Sorry Jason,

Was just trying to illustrate some of the cases I have seen go through, not confuse the issue at all. I figured the more cases he heard about the better idea he can get about how the board thinks.

As far as what you said about my case, I am done and out. I didn't appeal and maybe I should have, but my command made it sound like it was my fault for failing PT and I didn't want to get those, "What a failure" looks anymore. It was tiresome. I know my case was completely messed up, but so was my career and so I am kinda used to it when it comes to our government. I don't want to sound angry or jaded (and re-reading my post above I think I did), I have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time a lot. I love the country I am in and I do not for one minute regret joining the service. I am in a better place now than I was when I joined (well, not physically). Don't mean to hijack a thread, just wanted to clarify...

Still waiting for unfit memo. People seem like they got that quick. I know to of my buddies who are getting MEB full process took one 6 months and the other 5 months.

PEBLO said prolly hear something next week.

what is approx timeline for unfit memo?

anyone?

2 weeks

well now I'm worried, its been 3 weeks. Hope I hear something this week,.

Timelines are highly variable. That said, across all branches, I have seen increased urgency on meeting published "timelines." I have seen cases move faster recently, but I still see cases move at a glacial pace.

Got my unfit memo today!

I guess I was found unfit on JAN 11. All 4 conditions were found unfitting.
PTSD,Chronic, (MEB DX 1) (V1-yes; V3-yes; V4-yes)
Bilateral Conductive Hearing Loss( without unfitting Tinnitus) (MEB DX 2) (V1-yes; V2-yes; V4-yes)
Right Shin Splints, (MEB Dx 3) (V1-no; V3-no; V4-no)
Left Shin Splints, (MEB Dx 3) (V1-no; V3-no; V4-no)

Sicotic, I'll be interested to follow your timeline...I was just found unfit on 31 Jan so my ratings will be coming shortly...knock on wood. My memo was sent to VA on 1 Feb so we'll see. Best of luck!

Thanks PEBLO being a pain, saying she cant look at anything until at least 45 days. So Feb 26 is when she can look.
