Notified of IRILO and MEB

I was recently permanently DQ'd from my current AFSC, was picked back up by my previous AFSC, and had my DEROS curtailed to August 31st as opposed to the original Dec 2016 date. When I was notified that I would be PCS'ing on Aug 1st, I began knocking out my checklist, etc.. And just today I was told that a Col. instructed my PCM to begin an IRILO and MEB instead of PCS'ing me. The reason for all of this is that I have been diagnosed with retinal migraines and go blind in my left eye for an hour or so at a time, about 5 times a week. Can someone with any form of experience or guidance as to how long the IRILO usually takes, or what will happen since I am currently in an AFSC which isn't supported at my base and my new DEROS is fast approaching? I have a wife, 2 kids and a baby on the way, so being told that we are PCS'ing, no wait, you aren't, to you might be, no wait, you might be getting out, is adding a ton of stress on all of us. Thank you for your help!

1. Make an apt with PCM for your MEB
2. You can not PCS if they are MEBing you
3. Until your MEB is done they will put you on "Medical hold" 6 months at a time. Its not a reenlistment or an extension.
4. Talk to your First shirt and explain what is going on with you, and ask him about the Wounded Warrior Program.
5. Just try and relax and sit tight, this is a process.
