I spoke with my PEBLO last Friday to get a status on my PEB. She told me that my PEB was forwarded to the DVA for ratings December 2, 2011. I thought the PEBLO supposed to call you in and go over the the PEB findings before sending it off to the VA. I guess I am unfit if my PEB findings are at the VA now. Anyone have any input or experienced this already? Any projected timeline for VA to complete claims once the PEB is sent off?

From my understanding of it, you are correct. My package is also in the same place. According to my PEBLO, my package was sent to the VA for rating on 24 October 2011. I am still waiting to hear back. Once the Navy makes their decision, it goes to the VA for them to rate ALL the conditions that you listed in your claim, not just the one that sent you to PEB. Once they come up with an overall rating, they send it back to the Navy for them to find their rating. If the Navy has found you fit, then the VA doesn't even see the package. It gets forwarded back to the PEBLO for presentation to the Service Member. The Navy's rating is the one that determines Medical Seperation or Medical Retirement, not the VA's. Hope this helps.

I called my PEBLO last Friday and asked for a status update. She told me my PEB was forwarded to the VA Dec. 2 2011. I did an inquiry for a VA rep to tell me more about my status. The representative called me today and said they have received my PEB and at this time they don't know when it will be rated or it is waiting for review. I have no other choice but to continue to wait. The VA rep also told me that if I was in a financial hardship, I can send copies of my bills which will help speed up my case. I don't have a hardship so just waiting. Dec9 my PEBLO told me that I will have completed ratings in 30-45 days. I hope the 45 days hold to be true. My timeline is below:
