New Easier to use crsc calculator

Greetings all,

I have looked at many of the different threads and the CRSC Offset still confuses me.

I am Ch61 retired PDRL on 09/30/24

Retired at E-5 after 12yrs 2mo 24 days

VA 100% P&T Spouse 3 Children Payment is $4413.63

DOD 100% Payment would have been $2884 with cap of 75%

CRSC was approved for 40%

I waived all DOD for VA

If I could get some help with an estimate it would be greatly appreciated.

The calculator shows $774.16 which is the exact same of 40% w/o dependents is this just a coincidence?

Just an FYI, your longevity cap would be $1,205.06 (I use current pay grade x 2.5% x length of service x .92 to get a pretty close guestimate for figuring out one's cap), so if the VA bumps up one of your approved ratings OR you have some other condition that can be claimed and approved to get to 50%, you would end up maxed. Do whatever you can to NOT leave anything on the table! CRSC pay scales = VA comp pay scales to include dependents OR longevity cap, whichever is less.

Remember this thread is just about announcing the calculator.

If you need an estimate just create a new thread asking for such.

Calculator works great. It was within $4 of my final DFAS amount, even the DFAS rep was impressed with the accuracy.

Good morning. Has anyone tried the CRSC Calculator recently? I plugged in the numbers I currently have and the CRSC amount was only 58% of the CRSC amount I'm currently receiving. This is what I'm inputting: My retired pay before deductions from my CRSC Pay statement/Gross pay from Retiree Account Statement as the Current Retired DOD Pay. My DVA Disability percentage as DOD disability percentage, my Combat Related Disability percentage as CRSC Total Award Percentage and my monthly VA Waiver as Monthly VA Pay. I know my years of service is 15 years and I believe I have an additional 2-3 months. I've tried the calculator with both 15 years and 2 months and 15 years and 3 months. Am I inputting the data correctly? My current CRSC amount is 330 but in the calculator it shows 192. I wanted to see how my CRSC would increase if my VA % increased to 90%. But if its not accurately showing my current CRSC payment with my current numbers, it wont show an accurate increase if my numbers change.

I was medically retired years ago and I'm not in the Blended retired system, if that matters.

Thank you

I’ve been using the CRSC tool alongside a VA calculator to double-check how everything lines up with my ratings and dependents, and it’s been a solid combo for sorting out what to expect. The online setup makes it easy to compare numbers without digging through tables, so it might give you a clearer picture while you’re running your CRSC estimates.

Thank you very much for making this calculator and for continuing to field questions.

For the calculator, I was hoping you could clarify the “years of service” and “months of service” section.

For 13yrs and 3mos, would I input 13 and 3, or 13 and 159 (for 159 total months of service).

Wildly different calculations for each.

Thanks again!

Thanks, one last question if you don’t mind. I applied CRSC on march 25th 2026 got. My 60 day email on may 25 I’m at 126 days total I’m at 90 business days today July 29,2026. I know I’ll get approved because of the burn pit registration. Are they behind? I called the number and the lady i talked to said it’s taking about 90 days business. Just trying to get an idea when I’ll get the approval.

Per HRC branch chief, they've just hit an "average" of 100 business days, however, folks have been reporting 120 business days. The avg quoted is a sliding avg and is not what the current trend has been. I informed him of what was actually being reported in the FB group.

Did he say anything about getting 60 day emails that’s not in business days but just 60 days from the time they received the packet

I sent a follow-up email first thing Friday morning and have not heard back yet on that one either.

Crazy question. So I filed my application on march 25 2026 but when I went into iperms there’s another application from February 15,2018. Which I was denied because I didn’t have a retirement account and va waiver. The reason why I did another
Application I was told by the woman I talked to put in a new application since it’s been so long. I should get back pay from the very first application right?

Im sitting at about 120 business days now and theyre still not done with mine. I submitted on February 12th, so their 90 day timeline is way off

What branch are you? Some branches are backed up an entire year for CRSC.
