I received this message back from my Commander today.
Does anyone have any information regarding a new process starting 1 Jan 2015? I've tried searching but coming up with nothing.
"However, the leadership team here at Hill agrees your conditions warrant evaluation for service-connected disability and I do have some good news for you. There is a new Congressionally-mandated law specifically for the DoD medical community that takes effect on 1 Jan 2015. This will require a new process for members separating from service to have a thorough exit physical and records review. The records review is essentially a mini-MEB to ensure disability benefit considerations are provided to the VA."
