Morning everyone,
I have 17 total years in (11 active, and 6 reserves). I just got my ipeb results back. Unfit BUT because I do not have a lod it states I can request a FPEB but the FPEB can ONLY conclude that I am unfit or npq and cant refer me to have a LOD don't or be put into ides. I am 100% service connected through the Va and have been for over a year now. I have my appointment with my peblo on Wednesday. Is it any way possible to get a LOD so I can be put into ides? And if not, would one of my options be to be retired early?
 
You may want to get an attorney. Have you requested a LOD?

Yes sir, I notified my chain of command by email today. I’m just waiting on them to respond. Dumb question but I’ll ask anyway: If my unit gives me any problems filling out my LOD, can I have my VA doctor fill it out?
 
LOD is a military construct. It should be completed in the military. If you have issues you can consult with your chain of command and if unsuccessful the IG. Service connected is a VA construct.
