Has anyone heard more word on the PEB hiring more staff? The numbers vary so much as to how many have been hired. Just trying to get a slightly more solid answer haha
My lawyer told me last weeks that they are focusing on informal boards to help with the backlog & suspending formal boards temporarily. So I’m assuming the extra staff is a myth lolHas anyone heard more word on the PEB hiring more staff? The numbers vary so much as to how many have been hired. Hmm well. Now that you say that. I remember seeing some posts over the weekend saying that. I hope they have also hired so it is double time. Selfishly I’m good with it moving faster for informal. But I also feel bad for those that are requesting formal boards. My lawyer told me last weeks that they are focusing on informal boards to help with the backlog & suspending formal boards temporarily. Yep. Who knows. I take every rumor with a grain of salt lol. I guess if cases start coming back sooner like in February they are cranking out findings. Something may just be true. LolHmm well. I got a phone call and text from my command today. I'm at WWBN and they get monthly conference calls with Naval Medical. From what I was told today, they hired one more medical officer and a few more line officers. They passed a waiver that line officers could work simple cases (anything that doesn't require a specialist, so basic knee pain or things along those lines) and that they got mandated to work 300 cases a week. They said to expect the back log to be kind of cleared by July. Take everything with a grain of salt but lets hope this is actually true. Sitting at 162 days with Medical officer.Yep. Who knows. I have Heard about the waiver. I am just curious at what date do they stop considering packages apart of the “backlog” haha cause July sounds not so great lolI got a phone call and text from my command today. That isn't what I meant, they're supposed to be caught up with boards by July so when cases get sent to the PEB they no longer should be having a 160+ day wait like most of us have been having.I have Heard about the waiver.
