Hello guys. If you don’t know by the title, I am Navy. My package was sent to the board on September 16th, 2021. So I have. LONG time. I was trying to get information from anyone who has actually done an Operation Wounded Warrior internship. How do you go about choosing where to intern, do you relocated, are there a list of careers you can choose from, etc. any insight will be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Following.

I applied a few months back but hadn’t heard anything until a couple weeks ago.
They do not relocate you, they place you with a federal agency within your location. Once you submit your application, you will tell them what agency you’re interested in and they will find any internship opportunities and contact you.

I went onto google maps to see what federal agencies were around me and that helped. I am awaiting information about an internship right now, hoping it works out.

Does this affect your med board and did you do all of your C & P exams before the internship?

You can apply at any time during your med board process. Requirements are to have at least two months of service left and commit to 20 hours/week. The agencies have to work around any appointments you have.

Thank you for the info

Hey! I have been doing the wounded warrior program for about 7 months now. It's excellent! I have a beard, don't hear much from my command except dumb admin stuff, and could possibly have a career here. You can intern with any federal agency. My liaison for the WWF is awesome and they really work with you.
