What is the length of time allowed for the NARSUM to be written. I've completed my C&P over 45 days ago and still havent heard anything.

What is your PEBLO telling you?
She hasn't been very helpful, she just keeps telling me that my PCM is writing it and she's retiring so it might take longer. I just want to know so I can remind them if it is 45 days
Ask your PEBLO where in MEB/IDES directives and regulations does it state that the dictating physician is allowed more than 45 days to write NARSUM. Moreover, tell your PEBLO that PEBLO's like her and physicians like your PCM are part of the reason why SM's are exceeding the directed timeline for IDES. The NARSUM should be a high priority...not a "oh...well, we'll get to it when we feel like it." 
My point is that, no, it shouldn't take a doctor 45+ days to write a NARSM, nor is it allowed by regulation. Is your PEBLO going to allow you 45+ days to review your MEB before it is sent to PEB? No. So she needs to do her job and put more pressure on your doc to do her job.

It is only supposed to take 5 calendar days to write the NARSUM, that is according to the gudance we use on the ARMY side.
Well I talked my peblo today and she basically said that I wasnt the only one going through a med board and that she will get it done before she exits the military. And the pcm's office said she was going to be on leave until mid june.

Yes, we as PEBLOs have certain timeframes that things have to get done. This also applies to the NARSUM writers, they have 5 calendar days to complete a NARSUM once they recieve a folder and complete C&P exams. At least this is what the guidance is for the ARMY side.
Well I'm in the Marine Corps, but you would think something controlled by the DOD would have universal timelines.
