I was recently put up with Myofascial Pain Syndrome as a disqualifying condition. Basically my back spasms never stop (to some degree) and I get the pain anywhere from the lower portions of the mid back up and into my neck. I looked up the VASRD for this condition and found the following:

With widespreadmusculoskeletal pain and tender points, with or without associated fatigue, sleep disturbance, stiffness, paresthesias, headache, irritable bowel symptoms, depression, anxiety, or Raynaud’s-like symptoms:

That are constant, or nearly so, and refractory to therapy.................................... 40

That are episodic, with exacerbations often precipitated
by environmental or emotional stress or by overexertion,
but that are present more than one-third of the time............................................. 20

That require continuous medication for control.................................................... 10

Note: Widespread pain means pain in both the left and right sides of the body, that is both above and below the waist, and that affects both the axial skeleton (i.e., cervical spine, anterior chest, thoracic spine, or low back) and the extremities.

My question is, has anyone been to a C&P exam for this condition before? How do they do the evaluation for this? The VASRD is very specific about things such as the ROM for other issues, but not for this. My C&P is coming up soon and I am just trying to figure out what I can expect.

I have this and fibromyalgia (related condition). Use the DBQ for Fibromyalgia to see what questions to ask. The VA did not rate my separately from the fibromyalgia.
