My USAF timeline

My timeline is as follows
Injury Oct 2010
2 surgeries
VA exams 11-13 March 2012
24 Apr 12 package sent to VA and IPEB
28 Jun 12 VA finished rating
24 July 12 Peblo notified me of my findings
20% lumbar disc disease 70% total VA rating
Requested 27 September separation date
 
thats awesome, if you dont mind me asking what base are you at? The VA finished my rating on May 4th and i still havent heard anything, i think my case was one of the ones that got lost..
 
Also if you dont mind me asking why didnt you go to lackland and try to get percentage raised to 30% so you get med retire
 
I'm at Eglin. They have wore me out with this process and I have a job lined up ready to go. My work never understood disabled or in pain. Just be here long hours until you leave. I guess that's the world of Security Forces

Yes it is the SFS world, few that don't go throgh it understand it. I am wore out and just want to seperate even though I'm nearly at 19. They can makou suffer. My package should be back any day now.

Mike,

Have your PEB call mine was finished with VA 6 June and after waiting the told time I made her call and that is when I found out mine was lost. I have gone in every day and just Signed my package yesterday for 8 Aug out date with 1 Nov retirement date. Good luck to everyone.


CombatK9 - I understand the pain SF can put on you (was SP back in the day) gave me so much heartache. For my migraines back then they forced me to cross train. Could only imagine the crap they put on people now. Just think you get to finally move on with your life. Good luck.

You sir are giving me hope....Our timelines almost line up perfectly. Hopefully, I'll hear something this week.
 
Thanks for all the messages. It's been a long exhausting process but this forum has prepared me for everything and if I didnt come on here I wouldnt have pushed the VA and Peblo for answers and would still be waiting. USAFTider, Call your Peblo and bug them on weekly basis, to the point where you request what VTA is saying on there system or have them call down but your paperwork should be in anytime. Have you found out your ratings yet? The VA would never give me that info but my PEBLO would over the phone.
 
No I still havent gotten my ratings from the VA. I figure at this point I wont, unless I call them again. I stopped by the PEBLOs office a couple of weeks ago and she said AFPC got my stuff back from the VA on the 16th but the VA told me they sent it back on the 24th. Yup, any day now. I hate it because I am sending the kids back to school and I know we arent going to be around much longer. I was really hoping I would have something concret so I could tell the school why I'm not spending 400 bucks on school supplies (four boys). Going through this with an Anxiety disorder sucks, I'm down to sleeping for an hour and looking at my phone because I dream it's ringinig. (I work nights). Fingers crossed it's this week.
