I got my orders a week later, but my retirement date was set for 29 Aug. AFPC calculates the date by adding 20 duty days for out-processing, 20 days for permissive TDY, and 30-60 days for terminal leave (depending on your leave balance). You can request an earlier date if you plan to sell back leave, but its up to AFPC. The retirement date is set for the last duty day of the month, but not the last calendar day (so that can impact as well).

Yup, just waiting on a "case manager" to process my orders

Update got my orders Today, official retirement date 28 Dec 2014. Time to get to out processing i suppose!

All right! :D Indeed, congratulations! Enjoy your forthcoming military disability retirement for sure! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!
