So after several months of my package sitting at the PEB, yesterday, I found out it was sent to the VA for rating. Since May, my status on ebenefits has been Gathering of Evidence, but yesterday, it changed to Pending Decision Approval. This morning, it went back to Gathering of Evidence with a request for more information from me. It on says: "Complete and return the enclosed VA Form <form number>." There is no enclosed VA form. I don't know what it is referring to. Does anyone know what this means or has seen this? Also, what is a good contact number for a VA representative?

The form apparently is the VA form 21-526. They VA feels I have additional conditions that I had not yet claimed. I am confused because the VA rep on the phone told me I would be receiving a letter in the mail with these additional claims and the form to fill out to add them, but when I called my VA rep who is dealing with my case at the hospital, she, very rudely, told me I wasn't going to receive any letter and that until I got a call from them saying they received my rating that nothing else mattered. The VA rep on the phone told me this affected the VAs rating decision. So, I do not really know what to do.
I think you will get the form from your MSC, and they will submit it for you. It should be the dependent certification and direct deposit information.
I had the same issue, MSC sent the form and instructed me how he wanted it completed in order to get the best results.
I also submitted my NARSUM and DA 3947(MEB Proceedings) as supporting docs for the claim.
I spoke with a VA rep on the phone and she emailed me the form I needed to complete to add the additional claims. I filled out the PDF and uploaded it to eBenefits. She told me I could fax it too. It was a short form. Nothing complicated. My VA rep at the hospital made it way more complicated than it was but the woman on the phone told me its because the VA suggesting more claims at the end like this is rare.
Wow, I never even saw my status at the "Gathering of Evidence" phase, and as I just posted in a new thread, my case just went to PEB last week, and my status is already "Pending Decision Approval", I wonder if that is a sign for me of things to come...or not come, in my case...maybe I'll be found FIT? Or my conditions just may have been really easy to diagnose?

I am not really sure. My status changed to pending decision approval once my case was sent off to the VA. You could have already been found unfit. Maybe call the VA and see what they have to say.
@Dr_DeJesus13 have you been found fit/unfit yet? I thik we are on the same time frame my package got sent up early july. but I also claimed 25+ things. and Its been three months
Yes. I found out Monday that I was found unfit. My package was sent up in July as well. But I just used the VA chat and found out the VA has rated me and my case was sent back to the PEB two days ago. I am just waiting for it to be looked over and for my PEBLO to call so I can sign my findings.
ok ima go see my peblo soon cause she wont tell me anything until she gets my ratings. but I have been in contact with the VA and they told me from day on that they got a copy of my C&P exams as soon as they where signed and finished by the examining DR. even so im not worried I am just stuck in this limbo stage and my Peblo could give 2 fudges. My PEBLO is the same way. I had to find out all this information on my own. I found out from the Lt. Commander that I was found unfit. And I call the VA myself for the updates with that. I should ICE my PEBLO as well. My VA rep at the hospital is so rude. She hung up on me after I told her I didn't understand what she was saying. This process needs a lot of improvement. I am sure you will hear something back soon. You seem to be only a few steps behind me.
Hey man, was wondering how your triple neurectomy turned out and how you are feeling?
I have inguinal neuralgia as well. Mine was a result of a spermatic cord stripping surgery. Not sure how the urologist f'd up, but I have terrible pain now. Looking at possible triple neurectomy to help fix me.
Ha, yeah, my Spermatic Cord Stripping fixed one issue, caused another--random stabbing pains in the groin right under the incision point. Unfortunately, the Triple Neurectomy is ONLY going to make the area at the surface numb--if your pain is 'deeper' than that, it likely will not help. But this is one person's opinion. I will say that the Triple Neurectomy was not that 'bad' of a surgery to recover from, and I barely even notice I had it done, so don't think like I did that you are going to have this weirs numb 'feeling'--you won't even miss it.

Thanks man. The issue that has resulted for me after the spermatic cord stripping surgery seems to be consistent with genitofemoral neuralgia. I have a burning feeling and "unpleasant sensations" on the lateral edge of my scrotal skin. This could be due to neuroma formation, but I'm not sure.
So the numbness doesn't bother you at all? Nothing bothersome on the inner thigh or in the scrotum?
I have an appointment with Dr. Chen on November 13. My insurance keeps wanting to send me to someone else, but screw them. I won't settle for anything less than the best.
If this issue wasn't claimed, but it affects your fitness, you PEB should go back and address the issue. If deemed unfitting, it could increase your DoD disability rating.

Maybe that is what is going on now. The PEB has my case again. The VA sent off my proposed rating already.
