My MTF refuses to submit package to AFRC for MEB

Hello,

I think my Med Group thinks that I'm faking everything and that might be why they are completely ignoring me, but they're refusing to submit an updated and accurate package to trigger a MEB.

I had my IRILO spring of 2020, then last spring they did a bi-annual review, I was returned to duty again, but when I finally saw the package that they submitted and it was incredibly inaccurate. They said I was taking zero prescription meds (I was--and still am--on 10 prescription meds) and they also said I saw no doctors, when that was absolutely not true either. AFRC obviously returned me to duty because they thought I was healthy. I have spent over a full year now trying to get my Med Group to submit a new and accurate package, but they just keep ignoring me and have not submitted anything yet. I was just told again today by my UHM that my file is on the bottom of their list.

I feel like there has to be a way to force their hand somehow, but I have no idea what that would be. About a month ago my commander submitted a commander directed review, but that doesn't seem to have changed anything either. Can someone please help me out!!

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Bill

The Reserves and Guard tend to be much worse than AD when it comes to medical. I would consult a private IDES attorney as they know the regs in and out. They can probably give you advice on what to do. If they help you get into IDES I strongly recommend hiring them. My wife hired a private attorney before she even started IDES and it was the best financial decision of her life! She was AGR:)

Thanks, I reached out to three different lawyers last year--multiple times each--with no luck. I guess they were too busy then, I'll try again now--hopefully I'll get a response this time. Who did you use as your attorney?

Sorry, just saw your PM, those are two of the attorneys I tried last year, so I'll try again and see if I can get in touch this time. Thanks

There are only a handful that are dedicated private IDES attorneys and they have more work than they can handle. Its worth it to reach out every day or 2 until you get a hold of them. Remember, they are busy working on other Soldier's IDES clients. So I would text and or leave voicemail daily until you get a call back. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Ok, yeah he's one of the ones I've contacted. Thanks for the encouragement, I know how busy they must be, so I feel bad pestering them, but you are right, sometimes you just gotta be persistent.
