Have you had any changes since you signed your NARSUM?

Yeah, I'm at "waiting for ratings" stage. I also updated my timeline.

11 Jul 2016....Found Unfit by PEB
12 Jul 2016....New claim added in Ebenefits that is "Under Review" (I was told by the VA that this means the packet was sent to them on this date by IDES for ratings)
22 Jul 2016....Selected to have claims decision made as soon as possible.

My also went to the on July 12, and it has been preparation for decision since then. I wonder how long will it set at this stage.

It just changed to historical today so from what I have heard that means they have my ratings so I am going to try and get them from the VA and just wait for my PEBLO.

That is awesome! My ratings were sent off to the PEB yesterday so my PEBLO said either today or Monday I should have my 199 and hopefully orders later that week. From what I have been seeing, some people have been getting their orders as soon as the same or next day.

Super jealous! Seems the VA has been on a 10-20 day range, which would be phenomenal!

Yeah, I've noticed how quickly they are doing things. You should be getting yours this week seeing that yours was there before mines. I'm just excited to see how quickly the 199 and orders come.

Thanks! me too! I'm guessing that the Q&A part took place between the 1st and the 26th because the second claim didn't show up until the 26th lol.

Unfitting condition is my back.

Ok, I got my ratings today. I got 80% VA and 30% DoD. Now I'm waiting on my PEBLO to contact me with my 199.

To MrPhotographer06 and armysoldier23, I had just left Gordon mid-June and just received my IPEB as "FIT". What was your unfitting back injury, MrPhotographer, and your injuries, armysoldier23? I had sustained a herniated L5-S1 in January with right leg radiculopathy (right foot is permanently numb). As this is my third documented, and worst, back injury, I am a little heated with the findings and wish to appeal the IPEB. What insight do you two have?

This is insane... I feel like other branches go so much faster! My package was sent to PEB a day before yours and i'm still waiting to hear FIT/UNFIT!

My back issues were labeled as "chronic lumbar strain" but I have two fairly well bulged discs, foraminal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, smorals node, beginnings of spondylolisthesis, with some nerve issues. Mostly sciatica related. Currently cant roll in the bed because of it, so I figured id read up on some cases...

I was found unfit for duty by the IPEB in 2 days and awaiting the VA. On exam day after doing the first half of the exam my back began to give me nerve pain to the tailbone and buttocks area so my forward flexion I came to 30 degrees= 40%. What was your ROM?

Shooting off the top without my paperwork, my ROM was fairly good - I believe i had, at most, a 15% limitation. Along with the DDD, my Ortho. surgeon also indicated the spondylolithesis with a pars defect. What chaps my ass is that all the conditions were lumped into the "Degenerative Disk Disease". My right sciatic is still causing a numbness across the foot and has been the one item that has not improved. Despite pulling up on my foot, you can pull my toes away without effort (VA C&P did not even assess this stated issue).

I just pulled a record from Ft Knox in 2014 that was not included in the original MEB and it pertained to a lower back sprain. I am wanting to include this to document the pattern of lower back injuries and therefore reconsideration on the "FIT" determination. As three injuries have slowly taken their toll, what will the fourth do?...I am not waiting to find out.

Thanks for the response.

Case closed today! hoping to get ratings via chat on monday!

If you would go into your ebenefits account. Click on the disabilities tab in the left side of your screen. It will give you a list of all your disabilities and the percentage and you total rating.

Congrats and I know you're happy to be almost done.
