Here is my Army timeline out of Fort Gordon. I have 8 years TIS and the MEB was initiated for degenerative disk disease. Was given a 313111 phules code. Originaly my peblo estimated my case completion to be mid to late October.

Jun17-MEB initiated
Jun19-Met with MEB counsler
Jul15-Final QTC appointment completed
Aug8-Signed Narsum
Aug26-Unfit Memo signed

Ive been found unfit for (hoping this isnt over 30% so i can take the severance option):
Lumbar degenerative disc disease with intravertebral disc syndrome and degenerative arthritis changes. (MEB Dx 1) (V1-No; V3-No; V4-No)
Lower left extremity radicular symptoms involving the sciatic nerve. (MEB Dx 1) (V1-No; V3-No; V4-No)
Lower right extremity radicular symptoms involving the sciatic nerve. (MEB Dx 1) (V1-No; V3-No; V4-No)

Im claiming:
lumbosacral intervertebral disc degeneration
bilateral leg condition
lower extremities numbness
anxiety
stomach ulcers
Hiadal Hernia
IBS
gall bladder removed
right knee pain\ torn maniscus
bilateral foot pain
acid reflux
neck pain

This whole process is so frustrating. My PEBLO has no information and calls me once a month with the same scripted information. EBenefits is useless, its been stuck at "Gathering Evidance" forever and claims my QTC is over due.

Generally e-bennies can be a useful tool, if the VA staff would update accordingly. I'd suggest you either do an IRIS inquiry on the VA website or call the 1-800 hotline to find out more specific info.

Ive tried the 800 number a few times, but I got hung up with a messege telling me to call back at a less busytime. I guesse i only want to harrass them so not a big deal. Im just ready to check out.

Who is your PEBLO? I am also at Fort Gordon

Post up your ROM from the C&P evaluation and we should be able to guesstimate what DoD will rate you at.

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Indeed, as gsfowler stated, we can potentially provide a range of proposed ratings if your ROM measurements were readily available.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Ive been found unfit for degenerative disk disease, right leg sciatic nerve pain and left leg sciatic nerve pain. My rom are as follows.

flexion: 60
extension: 20

is this enough info for a guestimate?

Indeed; as based upon your forward flexion ROM measurement as listed within the VASRD for "The Spine," a potential 20% rating shall be assigned as annotated below:

"Forward flexion of the thoracolumbar spine greater than 30 degrees but not greater than 60 degrees; or, forward flexion of the cervical spine greater than 15 degrees but not greater than 30 degrees; or, the combined range of motion of the thoracolumbar spine not greater than 120 degrees; or, the combined range of motion of the cervical spine not greater than 170 degrees; or, muscle spasm or guarding severe enough to result in an abnormal gait or abnormal spinal contour such as scoliosis, reversed lordosis, or abnormal kyphosis._______________________ 20%"

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Thank you for the information. 20% was what I thought, but what about the sciatic pain. Since this is all a related condition will the sciatic be given a percentage as well?

You are welcome, indeed! :)

From my experiences within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process, radiculopathy is normally given a maximum of 10% for each particular part of the body.

For example, if you have radiculopathy in both legs then the DoVA D-RAS would potentially yield something like "10% radiculopathy left leg" and "10% radiculopathy right leg" and so on.

To that extent, in reference to your PEB-referred unfitting conditions:
  • Lower left extremity radicular symptoms involving the sciatic nerve; a DoVA 10% proposed rating should result.
  • Lower right extremity radicular symptoms involving the sciatic nerve; a DoVA 10% proposed rating should result.
Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Just checked my ebenefits for the first time in a week and it has changed to "preparing for decision". So hoping it wont be much longer.

Oh nice so ebenefits does work ;). Good luck to you.
