I just scheduled all my appointments with QTC today. Will be done by end of the month after that. Then the waiting game begins.

Great move just stay proactive with your case. If things seem off at anytime locate the 2 ombudsman on Bragg for assistance. They’ll help I must say he has helped me from the beginning of my case down to the very last of me getting my DA 31 taken care of. If you don’t advocate for yourself no one will. Just please remember that

Hey! I’m also at Bragg and I wanted to ask, so my provider submitted my MEB recommendation to IDES on the 20th of May and my SRB is reflecting DL5 and PULHES 11113 with MRRC code of “RP” which means I’m in Med word process but I still haven’t received a call from anyone notifying me that I’m in the process. How long did it take from submission until you got a phone call? Thanks!

Hey sorry I’m just seeing this. It takes time sometimes. However if you see that it’s 14 days (2weeks) you are free to go to the ombudsman on the installation and explain you have not received a call. He or she will be able to check your case and confirm how long you’ve been referred to IDES and from them you’ll get some relief of what’s to come next. (Judging from experience)

So how exactly does the DoD and VA pay work? I've read that the DoD takes a certain about from the VA? Maybe an example of this would help understand.

Hey sorry I overlooked this. However based on my experience and from my counselors the DOD % will determine if you retire or separate with severance pay. Above 30 retire below 30 severance pay. It’s tricky after that:
If you’re injury was caused by combat related/hazardous duty/ parachute jump or war then you get a code which states you won’t need to pay anything back to the VA. It’s called recoupment. Your VA pay will come every month but they’ll recoup until the severance pay is fully paid back. But if you have that CODE then you won’t be allowed to do that.

So my doctor is currently Writting my NARSUM. My VA Benefits was last updated July, 16. Does anyone know how long until I get assigned ratings? Or how long to next step?

Another 2 months plus. You still gotta concur or rebuttle your Narsum, meet with an Attorney after before it gets send to PEB, another month or less till Fit or Unfit decision before it goes up for ratings like maybe another month or less. You got 25 below conditions goes a bit faster than someone with more TIS and and over 25 conditions they got more to work with. It varies but overall good.MEB timeline 5 1/2 months from your referral date. Hope it help thats just me observing, comparing, reaching out to others in our situation and Embudsman calling for updates. God Speed hope all goes well for ya.

Oh dnt stress yourself on the online VA.Gov, once it reaches evidence gathering and review its barely gonna change till case close, your Peblo wont know nothing until they get the update and keep you posted but for most part they can tell you what the next step is once you meet for your NARSUM review.
