My ARNG MEB/PEB Timeline So Far

Hello all!

So,
I've been in this process for a little while for Bipolar 1, and I think I may be getting close to the end. Here is the total timeline so far:

- Temporary Profile issued: 21DEC2017
- Perm Profile Issued: 03OCT2019 (California Guard just kept extending the temp profile)
- LOD Approved: 16AUG2019
- NGB Requests Formal LOD: 09SEP20
- Formal LOD Denied: 17SEP2020
- LOD Appeal Submitted: 29SEP2020
- LOD Appeal Approved: 05NOV2020
- Packet submitted to MEB: 26JAN2021
- Legal Briefing: 15MAR2021
- Contacted by PUEBLO: 16MAR2021
- C&P Exam: 25MAR2021
- Shows 100% P&T on Ebenefits (I was already rated at 50% when the process began): 05APR2021
- NARSUM sent to me: 22APR2021
- Case forwarded to PEB: 28APR2021

It's been over eight weeks for IPEB, so fingers crossed they'll figure something out soon.

- Emailed new PUEBLO (original went on leave for a couple of months without letting anyone know). Was told a few weeks ago would be two to three weeks. Told via email today, most likely another two to three weeks due to PEB backlog. Haven't been told anything yet, not even proposed ratings that I keep reading about. 23JUL2021
 
Same here. July 20th 2021 MEB packet was submitted to PEB. No updates yet. Waiting for infomal PEB
 
19AUG2021 - Received DA 199. States, "The Board finds the Soldier physically unfit and recommends a rating of 100% and that the Soldier's disposition be Permanent Disability Retirement." PUEBLO is uploading documents today.
 
I'm glad you are actually getting some answers, my PEBLO hasn't really done much for me at all. My process started 20 April, I've already received my narsum and got my unfit memo. My question since you are ARNG, not having a gov computer/network, how do you access your IDES Dashboard from home?
 
I don't. I was State Active duty until this month. When I left active status, I turned in my laptop. I couldn't get on the dashboard from that laptop anyway.

Hi there. I am in a similar situation.
Here are the rough timelines.
June 18, 2021 : VA exam completed
July 20th Narsum signed
Aug 23 : The PEB found me "unfit" and has forward your case to the disability rating activity site (DRAS) for a rating decision.
Sep 7: VA closed my case, and website says they sent me the decision letter. I should be getting something in 2 weeks. I can see the rating in ebenifits and I am satisfied with the VA proposed ratings. Lets see what PEB decides, hopefully accepts VAs rating.
Now as per my PEBLO From 23 August, this phase on average takes 90-120 days to complete. Once the VA completes its part, they will send my VA Decision Letter to me. The VA will also send the ratings back to the PEB for completion of my Informal PEB Proceedings (DA Form 199). Upon receipt of my informal PEB findings, I will be contacted.

So, I dont know what to make of this. I hope I dont have to wait for another 120 days. Thats just crazy.

It took about 120 days total for my PEB phase. The VA portion at the end went fast because I already had my rating of 100%. The VA didn't change it. Now, I'm just waiting to fill out my retirement paperwork this afternoon and I'll be done.

Congratulation! You must be so relieved knowing you are almost done with this long and tedious. And I wish you good luck with your retirement. And my case is bit similar. VA was quick to rate me. I was already 100%. So should I expect 120 days from July 20th when my file was sent to PEB or Aug 23 when they found me unfit? I know each case is different and takes different time line. I am just trying to manage my expectations. I am hoping to get out by November.
