I don't know if any of the moderators can help me understand what the impact is on my situation but I'm asking. I started this process a long time ago and have been told that my VA and DOA PEB results were mandated to be conferred on and agreed upon as a way of looking out for me by speeding up the process. This way I wouldn't have a 6-18 month wait and wouldn't become lost in the VA system. I was also told not to go to VA for health care needs because my case manager would work with the Tri-Care doctors in my area and that my medical needs would be better met. Well I found out today that that isn't true at all. I was told today that I didn't make the cut off date for the new IDES system. I looked on line and couldn't find any memo that a had a cut off date, only a implementation date of OCT 2011 for all services.
Hence said, I now know that I'm going through the old broken system with fractured results and more delay times, more non conferring and non concurring. I know that my luck is not the best, but now I feel like I'm getting ready to be pushed on another carnival ride called "Vist Iraq & Locate IED's" again. I would have had some treatments done by VA so I would be on their list and wouldn't be discharged only to go stand in another long line for a rating and wait for treatment as space is available. I really feel that my surgery, and MEB process has been directed by Murphy's Law and I really don't know how much more I can take.........
