Hello everyone and glad to be part of this group.

I am a reserve AF flight nurse, have been in for 15 years. During 2010, I was Dx with PTSD. I completed four counseling sessions back then and was deemed in remission with no symptoms. I have since deployed to AFG, and have not had
any issues with my performance at my squadron. As you know the military now is interfacing with Joint Legacy viewer so the military MTFs can view who is VA service connected. I just recently had my flight
physical with no issues however, my MTF found that I have the DX of PTSD and it is resulting in a MEB. Any input would be appreciated. My MTF is not doing a good job on informing me of the process. I have eff: today been made no pay no points. Can someone give me input on this process. Is the MEB generated for fitness for duty? That is what was explained to me. Anyone have experience with this process specific to PTSD? My goal is to stay in and complete my 5 last years.

If you were diagnosed with PTSD and it has had no effect on your work; my guess is that your MEB will result in a RTD. If your rated by the VA at 30% or less, then that matches up with a RTD also.
