May IPEB AF Packages

Results are in!!

Well, not what I really wanted, but they said TDRL @ 60%. Now I need to see how all of that will play out. I really don't want to fight the battle. According to my MEB office, they haven't seen anyone with a PTSD diagnosis come back right away on the PDRL.
 
Congratulations on the retirement finding! If they rated your PTSD based on VASRD section 4.129, it has to be TDRL. If they rated you based on the normal schedule, you might have luck on getting a PDRL finding from FPEB; though, I would not necessarily ask for FPEB to challenge just the stability finding.
 
Thanks Jason! I'm just happy to finally have the answer. I can handle going to see a doc every 18 months until they move me to the PDRL.
 
Now I'm getting angry. We all had ours go in about the same time. WHERE IS MINE!!
I'm just trying to have fun, not panicing. I took leave next week just to get away from the sh*t and the troubles I caused. My EPR closed out 2 Jun and still have not gotten that either. I'm thinking Monday I will have an answer from MEB and then it will be off to the FPEB, shoot me know. I'm thinking my EPR may be tied up until Wedsday or Thursday for a more thorough review, ha ha. Good luck and if you appeal maybe I will see you there, I'll be the old man walking around with the dark clouds above my head and mubbling to myself.
 
Ahh, hang in there bud. I wasn't expecting the phone call at 1530 yesterday. Of course I made my way right over to my MEB office to find out the results. Had I done more reserach, I would have known in advance that I would come back with a TDRL recommendation. Anyway, I'm sure you'll be getting the call real soon too! I'm not going to appeal mine, I'm just ready to move on and leave the AD world behind me. Now I'll just have to keep up with my follow-up appointments after I retire so I can eventually move from TDRL to the PDRL. If I went down there, then we would be 2 old guys walking around mumbling to ourselves. :)
 
I have to go to the FPEB because my PEBLO was short (time wise) and did not care, he didn't submit everything and stated we will save it for thr formal board. Friday he was cleaning out his office and everything else and probably saved it for the new SSgt. As I sit her a think about this, I've probably been lost in cyber space. I've always been told I'm a disaster in progress and a jinx and yes I've cut my own throat (literally by accident) to prove it. My mother won't let me go to Texas unless I take my older brother, this is just like basic training all over again.
 
Ahhh, so they put the screws to ya on that one. Have you found out if the IPEB office received your paperwork?
 
Just FYI, to give hope to some still waiting....my package was sent up the second week in May. I got an email last week on 6/8 stating that my results are in! I don't know what the results are yet because I was out last week and my PEBLO didn't call my cell phone. So, keep hanging in there and btw, I'm on the old system, not IDES.

Well, I think at some point we all just want to be done with the system and the problems that come along with being medically boarded. It gets frustrating sometimes. I had made the decision that I wanted to be done with it all but was returned to duty. I hope I'm able to withstand the demands of the AF for seven more years without breaking anything :) Best wishes to the rest of you and hopefully you all get what you want and deserve! My package got sent to AFPC on 12 May and I am still waiting on the results. It should be this week, although I said that last week!
 
Jason....question for you. I got my IPEB results back last week as you know recommending TDRL for PTSD and 2 other items. In my mental health NARSUM, it was listed in plain sight in my Axis I - chronic PTSD, combat related. When my AF Form 356 comes back, there's no mention of combat related anywhere, and all blocks state no, no combat related. Do I see if it were an oversight at the Disabilities Branch, or do I non-concur and move onto an FPEB for that?

I signed my package on 3 May and he said it would be mailed out that day, I think it is important to mention it is the legacy prograqm. I don't know if the IPEB ever got it because I never asked, I'm just moving on with my daily life and trying not to think about it to much. I took leave this week but we are not going anywhere because the PEBLO would not request it from Randolph. My EPR closed out the 2nd of Jun and I still have not seen it, it must be lost in space. I dropprd a hugh bomb on Thursday and now a lot of people are scared and thinking they need to retire. I really did not mean to hurt so many but it was an issue of integrity and they all chose to ignore the problem, I did receive one threat so far. My EPR may be receiving a closer look since last week now. I'm in no hurry and I need to work on getting somethings straighten out with my package unless they all of a sudden decide to rush me through now.
 
OK, I think my will to keep fighting is over. Even though I have a diagnosis of combat related PTSD, right in my mental health NARSUM, the IPEB didn't rate me with that. I've asked if it was an oversight and I was told that I should non-concur and go to the FPEB. I just don't think I have the mental stamina to keep fighting and keep dragging out this process.
 
Well, an update to the update. I have decided to non-concur with the IPEB and go to the FPEB to get my combat related diagnosis. I didn't realize that the FPEB was held within 40-45 days. I think I can handle the wait for another month or so.
 
Hey Ed. So the wait time made you change your mind? They only gave you 10% for your other 2 diagnoses?
 
Yes, that and along with talking to friends of mine who have gone through the process and actually finding out why the AF didn't include combat related on my PTSD. I got 10% for my back and 10% for my knee.

Why did they not include the combat related?
 
There were several things not listed in my mental health NARSUM. Based on what was, I don't meet the definition for combat related.
