chief jr,

Always difficult to speculate about ratings but if your conditions are well documented, then I think you are looking at 70-80 percent DOD rating and near 90 percent VA rating. If you are wanting a accurate and legal guess on your ratings, your post MEB legal outreach (if they are worth anything...they usually are) should be able to tell you what you should expect.

Thanks Ceilling Fan on the advise I have all well documented 7 years back on all conditions with yearly MRIs, OSA Sleep Test every 2 years, and 4 partial hospitalizations and a migraine log with 3 specialist backing the DX which also the MEB docs concured. Thanks in advance, chief jr

Greetings to all first thank you Jason & all ur advise. Second Ceilingfan you hit the DOD rating my IPEB reccommendation came in today Permanent Retirement 80% which breaks as follows: MDD recurrent mod to sev with Painic Disorder with Agro 50%
Migraine 30%
Chronic Neck Pain due to DDD 20%
Chronic Lower Back Pain DDD ROM 50 degrees 20%
120 =80%

Sleep Apnea Unfitting but not rated at this time
IPEB took less then 40 days under Legacy Program not Wounded Warrior but requested an expedite IPEB thru my Chain of command due to severe family hardship and endorsed thru Wing King and 2 star for IPEB consideration

Chief jr,

Congrats and good for you... you have earned it. Thanks for your service to this great country of ours.

Still playing the waiting game. Talked to my PEBLO a while back and all they could say is the VA has it. I went on the VA's eBenefits site and it shows my case still in the decision stage. It has been there for a couple months. The sight also said I had another claim go through 'Regulatory or Procedural Review'. Anyone know what that is? Just a refresh on my timeline:

22Mar11 - Sent to IPEB
4Apr11-27Apr11 - VA Regulatory or Procedural Review
15Jun11 - 84th Day since being sent to the IPEB

I'm hoping I hear something back soon. I was accepted into the University of Utah and need to start classes on 22Aug11. If the paperwork comes down fast enough and I request a 1Sep11 separation date, would I be able to move to a different state while on terminal leave/permissive leave?

Really great question!! I just logged into the ebenefits web page after reading your post and I have the same status. A Regulatory or Procedural Review claim received on 5/3/2011 "Closed". Details on your Compensation claim received on 11/24/2010
  • Regional Office of Jurisdiction: Providence
    help_icon.gif
  • Power of Attorney: AMERICAN LEGION
  • Status: Decision Phase
Im confused as to how this all works now.....

I called and talked to the VA, they didn't explain the 'Regulatory or Procedural Review'. But they did say they assigned ratings to each condition and sent it forward to formalize the ratings. This happens to match up with the dates of the Procedural Review.

Just got a call from a VA Rep. They told me that they also sent my ratings back to the PEB on 27 April 11. I know this should come as a surprise, but claims it is still at the VA.

Because of this freaking screw-up looks like I will miss starting college this fall. Gotta love the Air Force.

Finally got my results. They offered 60% TDRL. Breaks down to the follow:

50% PTSD w/ MDD Combat

24-Jun-11 - Contacted VA and the Chief of the AFPC Disability Branch, found out they had sent my results to the people on 11May11. But for some reason no one received them and no one followed up. Signed my results and requested DOS of 15 Aug
