Okay need some community expertise because I don't know the answer and can't seem to find it.
In the middle of my first LIMDU which is set to expire on August 17th. My MEB will likely start after that but I am also hearing rumblings that they may start the board before the LIMDU period expires. My situtation is this: I have a referral to a civilian specialist to diagnose and test for a condition that may be the cause of my issues and LIMDU. My first appointment with that specialist is August 12th, just 5 days before my LIMDU is set to expire. I am concerned that the MEB/PEB will start then or even now before that appointment and testing. I am worried that any potential findings that may help my case and claim won't get into my package to the board.
MY QUESTIONS: Should I be granted a second LIMDU period to cover the visits and testing at the civilian specialist? Is there a way to make sure I am granted a second LIMDU? If they do start the board and I have not completed this testing and treatment then how do I make sure all of the new documentation gets into my package and to the board and VA?
If anyone knows the Navy instruction that covers this then please let me know too... I have already looked through a few and can't seem to find the answer.
