Wondering if anyone has has this similar condition and what the percentage looked like after the ROM.
The knee ROM:
Flexion: 0-90
Extension: 90-0
Flare ups: Yes
Pain noted on examination and causes functional loss.
Mild to moderate tenderness to palpitation of the joint capsule caused by the condition.
Is there pain with weight bearing: No
Is there objective evidence of crepitus:Yes
Select all factors that cause this functional loss: Pain
3E: Additonal factors contributing to disability
Less movement than normal (due to ankylosis, limitation or blocking, adhesions, tendon tie ups, contacted scars).
Disturbance in locomotion.
Interference with standing.
NO Ankylosis or joint instability.
14: Regardless of the veterans current employment status, do the conditions listed in the diagnosis SECTION impact his or her ability to perform any type of occupational task: YES
I looked at militAry disabilities made easy and this is the sections that states it would be 50% for my extension ROM. I was wondering if I am reading this correctly that I will be rated 50%
Code 5261: If the knee is not frozen, but is limited in extension and cannot straighten all the way, then it is rated under this code. If the leg can only straighten to within 45° of being completely straight, then it is rated 50%. If it can straighten to 30°, it is rated 40%. To 20°, it is rated 30%. To 15°, it is rated 20%, To 10°, it is rated 10%, and to 5°, it is rated 0%.
