Just got my PDBR decision letter.

I waited two years for this moment. I open the envelope, every nerve tingling. And.... it was denied. No change recommended. I am devastated. I just don't understand. The military performed an experimental procedure on my back (disc replacement) and the outcome has ruined my life. My life is nothing more than a constant struggle with pain, and struggling with the VA to give me the meds to try to control that pain. Retirement was just a foregone conclusion!

So where do I go from here? I know that there is no direct appeal to the PDBR's decision, but I want to fight this. If anyone out there has taken any actions after a PDBR denial, please advise me what my first step should be at this point. I am totally drained in mind, body, and spirit, and now I have a new, even taller mountain I have to figure out how to climb. Part of me just wants to tie a noose and end it. But I'm not letting those bastards beat me just yet.

From what I've read on here the next step would have to be the other board or the federal court. Don't quote me on it but, you should do some research on here anf some reading. It will be a long and time consuming road if you decide to take it to the next level.

Sorry to hear your claim was denied. Contact Jason Perry, or another attorney of your choice, and take your case to the courts.

Sorry to hear the bad news bud. Keep your head high, anything worth waiting for two years is worth giving it another shot. What was your rating when you were discharged and what was your rating given by the Veteran Affairs?
