On November 1st I have a exam for IU for PTSD. What should I expect during this exam? What kind of questions will I be asked? Also, what have others experienced with an IU exam for PTSD? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's just like your original C&P. Remember they can lower your rating if the doc thinks you have improve. IU means no working and basically your housebound in his or her eyes. If in treatment stay in treatment and if not you better start even if it kills you! They can say your not trying to get better and lower your rating.

SSDI
DOD 70%
VA 80%/100%IU

Hi Nathan,
Thanks for replying to me. I was thinking that it was going to be just like my regular C&P exam. I wasn't sure if there were a lot of different questions that they might ask me. I am still in treatment.

Out of curiosity, how was your DoVA C&P PTSD Examination for a potential TDIU increased rating?

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Hi Warrior,

I think that my re-eval and increase went pretty good. The doctor stated that more than likely I will get an increase and said that I am unemployable. I thought it was a pretty routine exam that I had. Only time will tell as I am waiting for the ratings to come in the mail. Hopefully I will hear something soon.

Hello indeed; this is very good news to hear! Thanks! :)

To that extent, I appreciate your response since I am trying extremely hard to be "open-minded" with the DoVA C&P Examination clinicians despite my horrific experiences with some of them which led to my continuing appeals within the DoD IDES process for potential rectification of errors!
