Is a PPM aka DITY move really worth it?

I am seriously considering doing a PPM because I have two teenaged boys and their friends as well as plenty of fellow soldiers to help load a truck, and family and friends back home to help unload. I got a quote for a U-Pack trailer so all we'd have to do is load and unload, they drive and it costs only a little more than if I rented a uhaul, drove it myself and got weight tickets, etc.

Just curious to see if anybody has recently done one of these moves and see if it's truly worth it or not. I have only talked to one other family that did it, but it was a PCS move from Ft Campbell to Ft Sam and they did make a profit of about $4,000.
 
I did a DITY move from ft hood to ft bragg and it was worth it, specially if you can get the cost of a moving truck low as possible, i was able to get a 24in moving truck for 200$ unlimited miles because i told them another company was offering me one for 300$
