IPEB and ratings

Typically not on their own, you would have to go to FPEB and/or the pre thing if the army is doing that yet. for them it is a cut and paste operation I believe and they do not review much of anything except to apply x rating to y condition from the VA.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but none of my process appears to have been typical so far:)

Indeed, hence my continued waiting for a response from the USAPDA NCRPEB for acceptance of or denial rejection to the scheduling of a formal PEB hearing.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

This is certainly a concern if they don't share the IPEB findings prior to receiving the proposed VA ratings. If they did release the IPEB findings to the member while they await the VA ratings, it might inject more trust in the system. It would also allow an opportunity to address no VA rating IPEB issues I parallel with the VA rating process leading to shorter timelines.

Please appreciate the effort it takes to keep this post professional.

I see my Nurse Case Manager today, and she says "I see you are going to a formal board". I respond, well, that's a nice bit of magic considering I haven't seen a 199 yet.
"You haven't, hmmm"
I respond saying I am going down to the next floor to find out.
She says, we aren't supposed to be sending you guys down there (to the PEBLO).
I respond, well, you aren't sending me, and you certainly aren't going to stop me.

Enter new PEBLO because mine quit last week. "Yes, apparently the ratings are 'lost' in that the VA and the IPEB both claim not to have them. We have sent an email for clarification."

SERIOUSLY!

I told him to check with the NSA because they know how to get information.

Anyway... Is this unusual? I know every case is different, but I'm really feeling like my progression through the process has been hammered at every turn.

I guess I am back to waiting, but there's a letter to my congressman percolating in my head.
Thanks.

What? Hmm, I say the same thing at times in reference to my DoD IDES case!

Wow, a very interesting situation indeed! Unfortunately, I have not had any experience with this type of situation.

Man, it seems like we are potentially riding in the same boat while it has small holes leaking water as we continue to go forward!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
