I received a lot of good advice and information from this forum while I was going through the MEB/PEB process and it really helped me navigate through the process.
I wanted to know if anybody has any information about how the world wide implentation of the new IDES system effects individuals that are currently on TDRL. I am just wondering if I will have to go back to Fort Hood for my TDRL evaluation or is that something the VA hospital can/will handle now? It just seems pointless to me have to get all of my records from the VA hospital to take to another evaluation at an army hospital for them to verify what the VA records already say.
The results of my MEB/PEB in FEB 2010 were 50% for PTSD and 20% for a bilateral knee condition and both conditions were rated as being caused by combat and I was put on TDRL. I have still not had my first evaluation for TDRL, but received a letter in January 2011 stating that I can expect my TDRL evaluation to be in October or November 2011. I have been seeking treatment for my PTSD at the VA hospital on a regular basis and am seeing a civilian orthapedic about my knees and have done several sessions of Physical Therapy with no improvement.
The VA rated me at 30% for PTSD and 10% for my knees.
