IDES Dashboard

I cant access mine from home, even with a cac card reader.

SAME thing here. i have been working on military computer system for the last 13 years and just about all of them suck in one was or another.
Have a Merry Christmas Bat

So has anyone had the problem of IDES dashboard suddenly saying " You do not have an open case"?

Indeed, yesterday, I received the same message upon multiple logins onto AKO.

But, at this point, it has returned to the world of the "0" and "unknown" data club unfortunatley!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Just logged in from home via CAC and mine is showing up as usual.

So I'm not sure if I'm just lucky... I do have a fairly simple case, but I just checked my IDES dash and it says VA rating actual days: 14. I'm gonna go see my PEBLO later and ask about it, but does this actually mean it's already done? Here's a screenshot of my dash...

No it means that's how long your case has been in va ratings it will continue to be there

IDES and the dashboard seem broken to me. My experience in the 300 days I have been in this process is that the Army piece seems to operate according to the projected schedule. The VA on the other hand is akin to a broken, outdated, underfunded, bureaucratic, nightmare organization which is poorly lead, does not provide real world updates or timelines, and does not seem to care about the stress they create in the process through their lack of proactive communication.
I have been awaiting ratings for over 180 days from the VA. There is no resolution in sight. No one can provide answers, the dashboard simply shows they are behind, not meeting the Army desired time hacks, and provides with an estimated number of days until completion of 245. REALLY???????
I am so much more than frustrated. If just one person could and would provide real information it would be such a relief.

I suppose the IDES dashboard is just an Army thing? I asked my PEBLO (navy) about it and she was clueless..

My Dashboard has not been correct since I started. It says to contact your PEBLO if it is two steps ahead because it is an error.....silly me I tried but he didn't answer. I am still waiting on my NARSUM which about to hit 2 months since my evals. I will remain patient though and soak up this time to be with my family daily.

Does anyone have any advice on where to start a thread on " navy IDES program for Bremerton WA"?
I'm currently stationed in Yokosuka and waiting on my Doctor to write everything up. I'm looking at enting the IDES program.......I've extracted a lot of info from the forum thus far....VERY helpful!

My question is; what do people do on their down time during the whole IDES program and what is required of them? WHO am I attached to while going through the program (who do I muster with, if any one at all) and how busy is the whole process? Do you have appointments every day? if not, do you have to muster with anyone for accountability perposes? is everything slow? is it stressful? I am aware that people get frustrated, but I'm pretty level headed. I just want to know who I answer to while going through this whole process. I'm currently seaking people that have gone through the process in Bremerton, WA, but will accept any advice from anyone stationed in other locations. I'm a First Class in the navy, stationed in Yokosuka Japan. Thank you so much in advance.

Try and search for this because it may already exist, however if not then you can go to

http://www.pebforum.com/site/forums/integrated-disability-evaluation-system-ides.6/
and go to post new thread.

The possibilities are truly endless as to how to utilize your down time, however I would first scour this site for information. At a minimum a step or two ahead into the process from where you currently are at. As far as formations this will all be dependent on your unit however your appts. should and probably will be your priority. Is everything slow YES is it stressful YES. But try to keep a level head throughout the process and prepare for exiting the military, i.e. school job search and preparation for your future. I hoped this helped a little bit and best of luck.

Thank you very much for your helpful reply sniper563! I know the road is long....but I'm willing to travel it in order to get help.

Sniper, you do know it's the year 2014 now, your timeline threw me off for a second

Ha yes I am aware and should be annotating as such on all documents right around October/November time frame. Thanks for the catch.

Buddy,

You have a long ways to go. Not trying to bring you down or anything. Just letting you know.

Hey all, new guy here and this is an older thread but really hits the mark with what i was going to ask anyways. The rackin' frackin' Dashboard. I have transitional questions but no answers to give my wife. Our landlord will be selling our place in May, my "dashboard" has the wonderful target date and goal date of Sep and Oct. I would really like to know if it would be better to send my family back home and I become a geobachelor in an apt until I'm out or try to find a new place with all of us. I know my answer but the wife doesn't want to move back by herself and the kids. With one kid starting 2nd grade and the other starting kindergarten I would rather have them start in a school they will be in until graduation, not pull them 3 months into the school year.

Sorry, I'm just another frustrated, soon to be retired forum member.

If you think you will be getting out and that you will be relocating it is much easier to do it ahead of time and save the headache later. You are right to want to have them stable and not have to uproot them later on. It will be rough for your wife but will provide more stability in the long run to get it over with early. It's good to plan things out early and put a little less strain on your family in the long run.

IMO if you are sure to be getting retired later down the road it is good thinking to relocate them early to your new home to provide some resemblance of stability.
