So there is a new IDES Soldier Dashboard on AKO and it is really screwed up. It doesn't format correctly on a browser and I can't tell where I am in the process. I logged into ebenifits and it has no information. I already have my unfit memo and the request for ratings has gone to the VA.

I called my PEBLO to figure out what is going on only to find out she is no longer working in the office. Based on any experience can anyone tell me when I should be telling employers I will be available for work?

Thanks,

BM

Well, from the time your unfit goes to VA is anywhere from 30 to 120 days goal (can take waaay longer) then 30-90 to outprocess if you accept everything from the start without any FPEB or VARR, so if everything goes smoothly, and the VA got your paperwork last week, I'd say anywhere between FEB and December of next year.

Not being rude, or snarky, but:
A. you gave us no real information on dates/number or severity/complexity of claimed conditions. and
B. it really is a guessing game that you just have to ride out, the suggested timeline is the best guess anyone can give until you have either your findings in hand and just waiting for 199/outprocessing, or a case timeline from the VA, if your ebenefits is stuck at the beginning with zero movement, then chances are so is your case., with some movement back and forth it would be a little bit easier to estimate.

My unfit went up on 4 Oct. I had two of three PEB conditions. 1 was non-radicular lumbar pain (MEB Dx 1)(V1-No; V3-No; V4-No) 2 is labral tear left shoulder status post repair with residual pain and decreased range of motion (MEB Dx2) (V1-No;V3-Yes;V4-No) I have a number of VA claims not seen by PEB including Sever obstructive sleep apnea, GURD, Artritus in my Kness, planter facitus, PTSD and a few other things. My retirement award is already written, my PCS has been canceled and I have gone to ACAP. All of my work has been transfered to someone else and I sit at my desk for 8 hours a day waiting on my rating.

going to the va on 4 oct, with a handful of claimed conditions, your probably looking at the median range of timeline, i'd say 90 days of VA rating timeline, then if everything is acceptable to you once it comes back and you accept on the spot 45 days until your out. including the christmas shutdown, Im gonna put my money on Jan 28th as a retirement date.
if it makes you feel better, ive been in the process for 2ish years, have been on 4hr duty days for the last 18 months with no duties whatsoever.

NOTES:

I have been waiting on ratings for 170 days. Don't count your peas till they are in your pod.

VA ratings are done but I have no PEBLO still so I have no idea what they are.

If you are using an off-hand web browser while getting into most military/government websites, they are usually not supported (i.e. Firefox, Mozilla and so on.) Please try using Safari or IE and try again.

Wanted to post an update. I finally got a new PEBLO! Signed my DA 199 now I am just waiting.

That was a big gap of time.
