I was referred to MEB for PTSD/MDD from civilian provider (with many physical issues as well), and the military Pysch said Adjustment Disorder

Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with MDD / PTSD by a civilian psychologist. (medic for marines witness assaults & then the assaulters threatened much more serious violence as well with no reproduction by CoC), and when my Medboard started the Medboard Psychiatrist (without me seeing her, or without anyone asking for more of my mental health notes from civilian which 25 sessions are missing) said that I have “Chronic Adjustment Disoder with Mixed Anxiety & Depression.” I don’t agree with this diagnoses as it was changed obviously, and without me even speaking to her or being asked for updated information & I was told initially I’d have to speak with a psych myself for my case to move forward.
Has this or anything like this happened to you?
I haven’t spoken with an attorney yet because I JUST started the medboard, and does their say the MEB have a house play on the PEB? Do I write a statement?
Did you?
I had marines I knew write me statements about us witnessing the assaults & then it connects to the fear of my life etc, while I’ve also been writing mine.
I also hear the C&P exams diagnose you then too? Should I bring documents there too?
I’m very overwhelmed & extremely let down by the system.
Not to be personally, but seemingly systematically.
Any insight in general or overview is very appreciated thank you so much if you got this far.

Since all mental health conditions are grouped into one rating there isn't much to be concerned about. What is your concerns? The severity of symptoms is what you will be rated by the VA for and you can google the VA%'s to see where you symptoms line up compared to the ratings. The DOD must use the VA ratings in IDES so there isn't any worries there if your branch finds that your mental health condition causes you to be unfit for serving.

My only concern would be ensuring that the VA and the military has all of your health records. For the VA side you can upload all of your medical records to your claim which you can see them all grouped together on VA.gov. The military side you need to ask who you can give your records to so that they are uploaded in their system so that when your NARSUM is being written that they have all of your mental health records to include private practice ones.

Lastly, how long have you been serving? Are you Active Duty, Reserves, or Guard?

thank you for the first part, I didn’t know & I didn’t know how the DoD would look at this so thank you.
And, all of my records for mental health have now been given (I just emailed them to my mental health dept at my local MTF to be uploaded in GENESIS) to the right hands.
And then with the VA when I get to the C&P exams it’ll be what’s next & I believe they get the entire package of eveyrhing that the military has.
And I’m active duty, been in 10 years.
Why, what’s up?
And thanks for the comment brother I appreciate you.

I do also have the VA app, and I’ll gladly upload them as well!

Sounds like you are all set. You don't have to worry about service connected because you have been in 8+ years. So any condition will be service connected meaning it really doesn't matter what diagnosis they give you to include mental health. Please review my direct message. I always recommend an attorney. I met my wife while I was in and got screwed when I got hurt. The PEB contradicted the MEB lol. That's why when my wife got sick and was referred into IDES I was determined to make sure she got everything she deserved. She was referred into IDES at the 18 year mark. So that was super scary!!!

Diagnosis matters because adjustment disorder is not "medboardable" correct?
