I want to be Med Boarded

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. A few years ago I was involved in an accident on base (Work related) that lead to a broken femur and a shattered foot. I broke 5 metatarsals. 1 dislocated/broken, 2 and 3 were broken into pieces and the 4th and 5th were compound fractures. I have a long plate and some screws in my foot. After the surgery I worked hard to get back into shape...maybe rushed it. The PCM I had showed no interest in writing another profile asking "Why haven't you been walking/running" when I had the cast off for a total of 2 months.
The pain as been building up over the past 3 years until recently it hurts when I run, walk and standing for more than 30 minutes. It is swollen when I get home everyday and it aches. I went and saw my PCM the other day who is sending me to the ortho who did the surgery. After the surgery in 2013 he strongly discouraged from running again because "It will cause you issues later on in life." My question is, how would I recommend my PCM put me into the discussion of being med boarded?

I am a Maintainer in the USAF.

Be honest with your PCM. If it effecting your ability to complete your duties and PT it is truly an MEB issue.
