I have my ratings and questions. Please help.

I got my ratings back yesterday and found out I got 50%DOD 80%VA, and I was placed on TDRL. The problem is that they ended up not rating the main condition that I went up for which was TBI because they didn't have any formal diagnosis...even though the neuropsyc evaluation clearly does diagnose me with TBI. They also said it wasn't combat related even though it was in Afghanistan, involving the blast from an enemy mortar that blew me head first into a road barrier. The lawyer im suppose to be talking to is at some training along with every other jag in my area, so I guess im wanting to know has anyone else been in a similar situation? If you have what avenue did you take to fix the issue. I at least want to be rated for the TBI instead of having the residual rated under something else.

River-rat: request a formal PEB. At a minimum that will give you sufficient time to meet discuss your case with counsel. If you decide to not go ahead with a formal hearing, you can simply accept the IPEB findings. There is no harm in doing this.
