I applied for Board 1554 - Navy responded with wrong board :(

Well I applied to the medical board for section 1554 last month with the navy. I even talked to the navy lawyer about the board and he told me they have no forms to fill out just mail them a letter requesting it. Well they returned my letter telling me to apply with a form 1552 for the board of corrections :(. Its the wrong board I want to apply too.

So one month into this process and I have not accomplished anything yet. Tomorrow I will make several calls to the Navy.
 
Hang in there! Keep on pushing...maybe you and your lawyer guy are right and the guy who got the letter on the other end doesn't have a clue...wouldn't be the first time! You are making progress! Keep it up!
 
Thanks Chinook I wont give up :). I called the navy lawyers phone number today nobody answered I will keep trying, I wish he had a voicemail. I called the BCNR to try to talk to this person who sent my letter back and they said he is not here try again tomorrow. I will keep my progress updated.
 
Great news. Seems like Mr. Clauson at the CORB is getting things done. I faxed the letter and medical records to him and he put in request for my military medical records to be sent to him which he said should be 2-3 weeks. After that he said 50 days is when this board should take place. He said February is the plan worse case beginning of March. Seems Mr. Clauson is doing an outstanding job and is very friendly. He is the head lawyer at the Navy CORB.

Now I called D.A.V. to try to get a lawyer and she said they will help "maybe" but they cannot do anything until I get official date for the board. D.A.V. does not do P.E.B. but she said they do Military correction boards. So she was not sure of board 1554.
 
As much advice on a lawyer will be great from anyone. I should have some money put together in January if I cannot get D.A.V. or another group to help me.
 
Great that they worked it out correctly and you are on the right track.
