I'm still waiting on the results of the IPEB... I've been bugging my PEBLO constantly, and called Providence a couple times but from what they are saying my stuff is still sitting at the IPEB so I suppose I need to be patient.

Hopefully my timeline will help anyone else that is in the same boat. I know other timelines on this site helped me estimate realistic wait times quite a bit.

I still haven't been notified of fit or unfit, but I just checked eBenefits and another claim was just entered. Before there was just one open claim with "Pending Decision Approval," but now there's that one plus another that says "Preparation for Decision." I know I shouldn't be relying on info from eBenefits at this stage, but I'm curious if this can give me any indication on my fit/unfit status. I called my PEBLO on Friday but she checks MEB statuses on Tuesdays so I will have to wait a little while longer to get any official word.

The VA putting another claim in would likely be because the IPEB ruled unfit, right? Or am I looking at this wrong?

Just talked to my PEBLO, and he checked on the status for me. He says that nothing is official until he gets everything back from the IPEB, but according to the website I am unfit and it was sent to the VA for ratings on 24 Mar.

Hopefully it won't take too long to get the ratings since the C&P results were finished on 12 Feb.

Ok, eBenefits now shows one of the claims as complete in Historical Claims now. I take it that it means the VA has finished my ratings?

VA sent my ratings package to IPEB on 25Mar, so I'm right behind you. I haven't been notified yet.

I called the VA and they told me that they finished my proposed ratings and that they were sent to my PEBLO. I thought that it would have to go back to IPEB though, so I'm not sure about that. Either way, the MDG was closed for a training day so I will have to wait until Monday to speak to the PEBLO. The anticipation is killing me!

Hopefully you will find out something soon as well.

I've seen 6 to 9 days (for AF) between VA sending ratings to IPEB to member notification. I called OAC yesterday and they took my social and looked it up...but didn't see any update. I'm on day 8, so I hope to probably hear something next week.

Did you hear anything yet, Wally3430? Still nothing for me, I talked to my PEBLO on Monday but he said it hadn't even been opened back at the IPEB yet. Hopefully it won't be too much longer, the wait is maddening. I'm already 2 months past my DEROS because of all this.

Recall that all of the "systems" turn on the folks at each level actually inputting all of the findings or documents. So, it may be that at some level, someone update that there has been an action completed, but the findings or decision has not been forwarded or processed yet. There is very possibly a lag between logging of an action and the forwarding and or receipt of an action at the next level.

Bottom line, it is always the case that "nothing happens until something happens." I know this is not helpful in resolving anyone's questions, but, it is the case that until an action is completed and forwarded to you, you cannot know the result.

Hope all works out in your favor and you get a good outcome. Best of luck!

Nope...I'm on day 10 now.

Jason Perry, thanks for the insight. Its easy to get tunnel vision and forget that there are a lot of moving parts in the process.

I still haven't gotten the DoD rating from the Air Force, but my PEBLO told me my total VA rating: 60%.

Day 15. PEBLO just told me I'll be placed on TDRL. Going in for the specifics soon. But right now....I'm hot.

Update: TDRL, 70% DoD, 90% VA. 15 days--AF average turn time.

I'm glad you finally got word back, but it sucks that its not what you wanted to hear. Hopefully your appeal will be successful.

No updates on my end, still waiting on my ratings to come back from the IPEB.

BTW Laika, before I got my ratings, I asked my PEBLO if she could tell me what my VA ratings were. She said absolutely not, they'd get in deep sh*t for that. Big no no apparently.

I had the same experience when I had asked the VA on the phone if they could tell me my ratings. They said definitely not, it would get them in big trouble.

Still waiting on my official ratings. 20 days since the VA sent it back to IPEB.

I finally got my ratings today: 30% DoD, 60% VA, PDRL

Congrats, looks like retirement for you! Hopefully this is what you were wishing for. Are you going to sign for the ratings or appeal?

@Laika
Were those the results you were expecting? Best wishes. Mike
