24 JAN 17-Began NARSUM with PCM
24 FEB 17-Code 37 initiated
27 FEB 17 NARSUM submitted to PEBLO
13 MAR 17 CIS submitted to PEBLO
06 APR 17 - Met with VA MSC
25, 26 & 28 APR C&P exams
11 MAY 17 Meet with PEBLO, dispute 618
18 MAY 17 Submit IMR to PEBLO
30 MAY 17 IMR concurs with PCM
05 Jun 17- signed package sent to AFPC for IPEB
16 Jun 17- AFPC never received package, PEBLO resubmits
19 Jun 17- Mypers notification that they received MEB
12 July 17- Mypers notice: pkg sent to VA for ratings
20 July 17-Ebenefits claim went historical, vets.gov closed
21 July 17-MSC told me VA 100%


Still waiting for PEB to wrap it up and send to PEBLO so I can find out DoD %. It's been over a week since my claim went historical. I'm becoming worried my package got lost in transit from VA back to PEB.
 
Hang in there. This is the point that seems to fluctuate with everyone. Hope you get it soon!

Thank you, words of incouragement are greatly appreciated. I try to take everyone's timelines with a grain of salt, but it's still frustrating seeing others ahead when you were the one originally ahead!

Completely understand. I was aligned with someone else and then fell 2 months behind them. I'm still waiting for AFPC to get my MEB package, and the other person already has orders in hand.

You still haven't received the notification that the PEB has received your MEB package? They lost mine originally and I had to get my PEBLO resubmit.

No, but I contacted my PEBLO, and in rare form, she answered. Since my Impartial Review took so long some date expired, and she's waiting for the VA rep to reset it before she sends off my package.
 
356 came in today with PEBLO. She's making me wait till 1500 to review, can't wait any longer!!!
 
This whole time I've been feaking out for no reason. I had two claims for my knees, one that was 40% and the other 10%. I was really confused and didn't know which one was going to be my DoD but it doesn't matter now...they took both! 50% DoD and 100 % VA. Signed and done. Thank you all for getting me thru this process. I would not have the ratings I have if it wasn't for this forum. Cheers
 
So you were put in for both knees being unfit or just one and they counted both? Just curious because I was put in for the one knee but the Dr put down stuff for both knees and said it was because of my other knee.

I was referred for only my left knee. Range of Motion (ROM) and instantly can both be rated on one joint, that's why I had two separate ratings. The PEB combined both. But yes always fight for a bilateral knee claim if you can. I tried for both knees but they wouldn't budge.
 
I didn't know they could both be rated separate. My main problem is instability but I think he messed my rom up because he didn't even fully check it. He literally touched my leg and stopped. I was in pain because I have nerve damage along my shin from the surgeries so he didn't do anything. But my rom was almost full range.
 
2 questions... Have you ever heard VA changing the proposed ratings while waiting for official ratings and how long does it typically take to get first VA payment after separation.

I have never heard of that, pretty sure your case is closed as far as evaluations so it would make no sense to look at your file. Mine was really quick, I got my DD214 on the 26th (same month) and was paid on the 31st. It can take a while though, one month is normal. There was a guy in my shop that took 3 months but it included back pay so he was good.

Was this at your C&P exams? Did they use a goniometer to measure your ROM? If they didn't you can use that as your defense on to why you feel your ROM wasn't recorded right.

SPECMEC is spot on. Everything I've seen from folks on here is 30 days, but of course prepare for the worst. If you separate 27 OCT, your first VA pay period starts 1 NOV. since you get paid for the previous month, your first direct deposit will hit your account 1 DEC for NOV.
 
Also when you get proposed ratings, your original case closes/goes historical while another case is opened up in ebenefits. This is the case that will close up once you submit your DD214. From my understanding, they don't do another full on reevaluation. It's just for continuity to get you out of the IDES side of the house and into the reoccurring beneficiary side.

Yes it was at my C&P and no he didnt use the goniometer. He was pretty laid back so I was assuming he was just going to put down that I had more limited range. I am not sure he really put anything of substance about the nerve damage in my leg either now that I read the report. I think he attributed it to shin splints which was never talked about. I dont know but I guess if it doesnt pan out well then I will ask for a reconsideration or appeal.

That happened to me, they didn't use a goniometer so I had to get it redone. I went from 0 -> 40% and 10 -> 30%. Having this information is critical for your fpeb case. Make sure it is done by someone that is certified to do so, it can take a bit to find a professional.
