I'm going through MEB and I'm currently waiting for my narsum. I recently got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (oral medication and restricted diet). I know I can't add it to my claims now but I can claim it once it get out. My question is, how am I going to be able to get the "evidence" for this diagnosis to start the claim to the VA? Thanks
 
If your doctor feels it is making you unfit, then an addendum can be added for it while you are in the process. That comes from my own experience. I've had addendums added during the MEB and PEB. I'd speak with your treating doc and have them write an addendum. I'd also have them contact your Peblo to notify them of the addendum. I had a buddy who was diagnosed with type 2. He was boarded and retired.
 
you could also request an IMR once you receive your narsum. You can rebuttal the Narsum to request it be added as well.
 
IMR is probably the most efficient way.
