How the PDA and receiving orders works..

Hello again everyone. This is my second time posting what appears to me to be an answered question already but...once again I feel rather behind the curve of understanding here so perhaps someone can give me some insight.

I signed my DA199 on 12 JUNE. I was told around 8 weeks is the time frame that my installation (Fort Polk..) has been seeing. I am fine with waiting but Im a little lost with how to prepare especially when I see others getting orders so quickly and others not so much..

What should I do if it goes beyond the "expected" time frame? (Who to call)
What actually happens when I hit the list?
Can I pick a final out date that is somewhat convenient for me or is it a hard date that I have no say in?

I guess im saying I dont fully understand the MILPER or what my PEBLO is telling me.

You all are the best, and thank you for always helping me. Hopefully one day my understanding of this process will be much better which will allow me to assist someone like me.

I got a call yesterday that I hit the TRANSPOC List and I go in tomorrow to do my leave calculations and everything tomorrow morning. I signed my 199 on 6 June.

I called my peblo yesterday morning and told him that I got accepted into school and what he can do on his end to see what's going on with my stuff. I emailed him my acceptance letter to school and he emailed the analyst at the PDA who was working my case to figure out what was going on. About 3 hours later I got the call saying I hit the list.

The overall process is extremely frustrating because everyone gets orders at different times some sooner than others. The system is all fucked up. But if you have a good peblo try to call them and see what you can do because they can actually see where your packet is and everything. Hopefully you hear something any day now!
