How PDBR Works..."Out of the sky, just comes in the mail"

I have no clue about all of this...i was forced out of the Army while in Japan, with a severance pay of $1200...I only had a chance to serve 2 years...Didnt recieve any medboard, physical eval or anything...Just simply sent home and found work.... Last mnth, 11 yrs later, I get the paperwork/form to fill out for (PDBR)...all out of the blue...I started out with 10% with VA for Epilepsy now 40% for it, still continuing...this is the whole reason why I was forced out....

Ive delt with this exact same medical issue...I got out in 2004 after only serving 2 years for having epilepsy...Somehow, I was given 10%, and $1,200 when I got out as a severance pay...After going to the VA and the epilepsy geting more intense, i was moved to 40%, still service connected...A cpl of mnths ago I recieved the paperwork for a PDBR...What does this mean, why 11 yrs later....will I be retired or compinsated more...I take multiple meds and thats the only way its controlled....

Any advise would help, thx

It is hard to imagine you did not have a meb/PEB and still received severance pay. Regardless, what was the Initial VA rating for the condition and is that rating effective from a he date of separation?

8910....grandmal seizure...and 10% was from seperation...moved up to 40% by VA

Was the 40% VA rating effective the date of separation? If you got a 10% rating from the military, you had a MEB/PEB. Do you have a DA 3947 and/or DA199 in your records?
