I was wondering how long before my retirement pay account shows up on MyPay? I have been retired for 2 weeks and filed my DD2656 with the RSO shortly after retirement.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Takes ~2 weeks to process the retirement pay. 24 DEC ETS, 31 JAN I got first retirement check.

Funny, after I wrote this I looked in the bank and there was a deposit from DFAS Cleveland for what I believe to be the last 7 days of June. It showed up today. Is that possible?

Yes. They release backpay separately from normal pay not on the 1st or 15th like their normal process (16th in my case). It could possibly be your final paycheck as well, but that will probably be another month.

I am Reserve and have no final pay check due. So it has to be my retired pay I guess. I retired on the 24TH so I had 7 days coming for June.

ScoutCC as always thanks for the reply.

Ok, I checked again today. The bank now says DFAS Cleveland RETSPCL Payment.

Is it time to apply for CRSC?

Are you in possession of your DoVA official ratings from the D-RAS at this point in time? If yes, then "yes;" if no then "no!"

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Warrior644,

Yes I am reserve and have had my ratings for a while.

Thanks for the info.
